Good on Clint Mackay for the hattrick the other night. Horrible commentary on it though, at least the channel 9 commentators make a hattrick exciting.

England's new-look one-day side, without five first-choice players, has come in for some harsh dissection in recent weeks. Does it devalue the game? Is the balance right? Are the selections consistent, or verging on stubborn?

After victory in Cardiff to level the series, albeit just a single win in the bigger picture, Eoin Morgan was fully justified in his satisfaction at not just the win but the way it came about.

The insistence on a deep batting order enabled England to overcome the shock of a third-over hat-trick and another middle-order wobble to win by three wickets,

i find hilarious that England can put out a 2nd XI, collapse to a hattrick in the 3rd over of their innings and still win the game against Australia's "supposedly" strongest team

I find it hilarious that you are talking 2nd X1 when its one day cricket, Australia only had 2 players from their test team. So stop your bullshower.

And by the way you can keep Rolf Harris.

LOL are you serious? Australia have 2 different teams for Tests and ODI's now.... that's what the Argus report recommended

Teenage batsman Dominic Sibley hit 220 not out against Yorkshire on Thursday to become the youngest player to score a double century in the history of England's County Championship.

Yeah I saw that, fair effort. :P Outscored Hashim Amla aswell, who made 158 in the same innings.

I was about to stop supporting England, and become completely neutral to everything related to International cricket. Then I decided I'd wait until England named their Ashes squad, because if they didn't pick the bloke that I started the bandwagon for, then I'd follow through with that.

Gary Ballance was picked, and backed up his 148 in the first innings of the county match with 108* in the 2nd. Telling ya, he's gonna play, he's gonna do amazingly well, and you heard it all here first.

Clarke ruled out of India series with his bad back. Callum Ferguson replaces him in the squad. Hopefully Ferg can take his chance.

Anyone else watching the One Day Cup this season?

If you're talking about the Ryobi, I sure am. I'm thinking of starting a discussion thread.
