like i said in my post before, the game is over whether that was out or not out. it's the principle of it, they robbed a 19 year old kid a test innings. and that's wrong

they (third umpire) gave him most of a test innings in the first test when he was stumped on 6, gave him 92 undeserved runs and almost flowered us over.

Bill Manspeaker

okay so do we get the decisions against us they got wrong in the first test? it's a joke.

Grazz

Third umpire in the 2nd test has been pretty poor, a couple of shockers but the truth is we are rubbish at the minute.   :'(

Windigo

Aust have been extremely unlucky with umpiring decisions.

DRS, no balls & catches that carried. Very unfortunate.

Do I smell a conspiracy against us... :P

We'll destroy these cows when they come down under, don't worry.

Guys we must remember Boof didnt get an input into this squad

In Australia i reckon if in some form Callum Ferguson will make his debut, Boof loves him and he also loves Joe Burns
And he also coached Klinger who should of had a baggy green ages ago

and again we must ask Why isnt Hussey in the squad? i dont care if he is old or he hasnt made his debut he would be better then the rubble at the moment

Will also be intresting to see what Boof does with the keeping situation, Surely Paine's time is near, his batting may be a tad worse then Wade and Hadds but his keeping is well above them

hahahahahahahhahaha just like last time?

Alex Doolan and Glenn Maxwell did alright against Zimbabwe (35+52 and 61+25 in a match where the highest innings score was 226), call them up. Better than the shower that's playing now.

4 straight ashes test wins in a row (two of them by an innings and one by 350 runs) and Australia have 6 straight test losses in a row, just give up already!

And how good was Agar this test? After DRS cheating his way to 92 extra runs in the first test, although it had no impact on the match, he took a super 0/142 and scored 18 runs this test!

Lay of Agar, he will be our spinner for 15 years but willfind himself in and out of the team for a few years, When Warney started he struggled so he needs time
Oh and cmon Jukes like u can bag DRS  ::)

I reiterate Jukes,

Unless you win the next 30+ Ashes series you really can't boast about the 'might of English cricket'.

Grazz

WE held the Ashes for 14 years, I seriously doubt England will repeat or better that. Yeh were ordinary at the minute but we will come good. Let the pom's bask in the limelight for awhile as they were in a dark dark abyss for so long it became laughable. :)

Lyon for Agar
Starc for Pattinson?
Warner for ???

Warner surely got to play the next test. Would it be unfair to drop Watson, who since the beginning of 2012 has only past 50 three times, twice in the West Indies and once against Sri Lanka?

Warner definitely does not have to play the next test. I've only seen him play 1 decent test innings, in that match we lost against new zealand in hobart when he made a great ton.
He is the epitome of a flat track bully apart from that. His high strike rate, flat bats down the ground work ok against weak teams and/or flat pitches, but he is useless the majority of time when forced to defend and the runs aren't coming easily, see his tour of India.  I'mnot sure we want to see that type of slogger playing test match cricket anyway.

Glen Maxwell is the same, don't rate him as a bowler and his batting is only good when we're on top. Too hit and miss otherwise. Doolan is one that I'd be happy to have a look at though, has done well for Australia A.

Pattinson would be the bowler most at risk but has shown a lot of fight with the bat and when on song is very important for us. I'd keep him in, he'd be stiff to be dropped. Boof should just telp him to get angry and bowl heat, has been a bit nervous I reckon and he bowls his best when he's aggressive. Trott has shown he can't handle short stuff well I'd want to give the openers a bit of a working over as well, only once the line and length stuff hasn't worked though.

Warner scored 6 and 11 for AusA against a Zimbabwe select XI, can't call him up with that.

He has a four day game coming up against South Africa 'A' before re-joining the Ashes squad, so he has another chance.

Lyon for Agar is fair, Agar struggled with a hip complaint and consistency.
I wouldn't mind seeing Jackson Bird get given another go, most likely for Pattinson.
Warner needs to make runs in the practice games before coming straight in.

Yes it would be unfair to drop Watson, he's a seriously good batsman and you need someone who can take it to the opposition bowlers and unsettle them. If he can get over his technical flaws of getting out LBW then he should start making some big scores.
Plus he is our most consistent line and length bowler.
