So what is everyone thinking now, assuming Australia can keep batting? Keep at the steady pace, score 600+ and try to roll England twice in 3 days. Or go for runs once Clarke hits 200 try to get to 500-550 quickly then declare around tea?

looks to be the plan. gonna be difficult to bowl England out twice in 3 days.... but stranger things have happened! cmon boys

Clarke gone for 187.. the dud aka Broad finally gets his 200th wicket.

Root is the dud, Broad is the shower bloke.

Onya Clarkey, well batted mate.

PowerBug

Root averages more with the bat than 10 of the Australian XI, i wouldn't go calling him a dud too quickly ;)

Good to see Clarke make a good score, England need to wrap up teh tail quickly and start batting whilst the deck is still good.

Whilst Haddin is a better batsmen time to bring back Wade - That miss of Cook of Lyon could prove costly in our quest for outright.  Wade would not have missed that one.

Haddin is a much better gloveman than Wade, while Wade is the better batsman.

Tim Paine should be in regardless however.

those kind of wickets are just luck based.

however, how good was Lyon bowling :)

Jay

Not sure why Lyon hasn't been in all series.

Bresnan you stupid piece of stupid >:( But nah press conference afterwards says Brezzy thought he hit it. ???

Sets up an interesting Day 3, these two will need to bat most of the day you'd think. Around 400 would have to be the aim, then hope the deck is a minefield, roll them for 100, and find a way to chase 230ish.

Can't see England winning this test, but who knows. :o It's a match like this that makes me extremely disappointed that the series is 2-0 not 1-1 or 1-0. I'll be glued to the TV tonight, this is the test cricket i love to watch.

I agree Haddin has had his time his reflexes are slipping with age two missed chances in the previous test time to give the gloves to the younger man and do whats best for the team but these guys are earning so much money I understand why they won't step aside until it starts to hurt the team.

Great catch by Haddin to remove Cook

Wade isn't a great keeper either.......
