should watters get sacked

I know its just his second year now but he has coached 37 games for 15 wins I don't think he's the right man to take stkilda forward

Loosing ross Lyon was the beginning of the end for this club

Also may I add sacking Malcolm blight just because he said the culture is weird at this club he was only telling the truth its still weird to this day

mate, seriously, have a look at our side atm. the lack of experience in our young guys. Scotty is the right man to coach our club. he and his team drafted good youngsters with the picks we had, and he's given just about all of them a chance at the top level. where do you think we should be on the ladder?

Ross Lyon leaving was great for St K.
Ross is horrible at list/player management and is largely the reason St Kilda have as many issues as they do right now.

Watters is doing fine, St Kilda just began their rebuild this season, so you can't expect too much.

He sure did, Ross was the perfect coach for St Kilda during THAT time period, but he would make this rebuild so much more painful in reality. I suppose you're right in a way that Ross leaving was sort of the end of that era of success, they were very unlucky to miss out on a premiership.

But I think that Watters is a good fit for St Kilda at the moment.

Ross Lyon is one of the best coaches, but he only thinks of himself.

give him a list of good players, and he will get the very best out of them. ...... good luck to the next coach though........

From watching tonight's game, and hearing that the Saints have only 4 players between 100 and 200 games, there is alot of work to be done at the club. I'm sure St. Kilda and Watters have got a long term plan. They knew that Roo, Joey, Dal, Hayes, Milne are not going to be part of the next premiership, so they are playing the young kids, and in two years time, after they have played 50+ games, and they take on all the experience from those older guys, they'll be coming back to the top.

They have a plan at St. Kilda, and Watters knows what he's doing. Doing a good job. :)

Ross Lyon is a great coach. Gets the best out of the list with his tactics. Very smart man and knows how to manipulate games of footy and how to win them more importantly. Does Not give the kids enough of a shot though.

I think the saints need to make some hard calls at the end of the season and also need to look at drafting some high end young talent.
They gave up high draft picks to get lee and hickey as well as recruiting guys like Dennis-lane, Roberton and these types.its to early to say if they were good or bad moves yet but I think they need to just use their picks to get some gun 18 year olds this year. A lot of guys in the twilight of their career but I don't see the next crop of gun leaders coming through yet. Need to get them in ASAP.

Is a good point - Ross Lyon inherited sides basically pre-built from Grant Thomas and Mark Harvey.

I think Watters has done a good job. Left with a bunch of oldies and some of the recruiting decisions in the Lyon years (letting Ball go for free, Lovett) were poor
