Now give Jack a break - have you ever tried running out a game with arms outstretched constantly for 120 minutes appealing for the free?

You get really sore deltoids.

I looked at the topic of this thread and immediately thought B Gibbs.

this.

i made a thread calling him soft after r1 too (even though he went huge SC). he is just a very average footballer, and carlton would be insane if they didn't somehow try to con GWS into thinking that he was in any way worth getting for the no 1 pick.

His playing a defensive role - I wouldn't expect him to rack up touches mate.

Plus I know it's frustrating when players aren't doing well. But Gibbs is playing for Carlton.

Not the way we want him to play for fantasy footy.

Usually I would agree vinny but his defensive role was pretty poor. Ziebell was by himself multiple times. I just don't think Gibbs is the sort of guy that should be used as a tagger. Why waste one of your best ball users and accumulators tagging someone else's good players? This is the first Carlton game I've seen for a few weeks but is this the role he has been playing recently? Would explain his poor scores. Might be time to move him on if this is his new role

Yeah Quinny your right - His not the man for that job.

I was just saying that - Gibbs had a bad game for SC cause he was playing the defensive role.

Just thought it was a bit far saying he was lazy thats all :P

Yeah definitely agree. He's not a tagger, it's just not natural to him but he was certainly not lazy. He laid 7 tackles

although this is a SC board I did not make this thread in reference to his horrible score. As per my OP, I was pointing out problems in his game that have nothing to do with ability and more to do with attitude.
Yes 7 tackles could be considered a solid night, but considering he was tagging Ziebell (who by the way had 7 tackles also) and played a defensive role for 120 mins and did sweet FA else its hardly worth writing home about.
Honestly, just watch him closely for a match (like us Gibbs owners do) and I think you'll see that my comments about this bloke are valid

drongo

I agree pikla, firstly that this thread was not about his poor scores in supercoch, and secondly I also witnessed his reluctance to chase last night,
