Is Michael Hibberd still a viable option?

Current backline is

Goddard - Malceski - Hanley - Hartlett - Terlich - Goodes (Terlich - Clisby)

Terlich to Grimes is locked in.

I was going to trade Hartlett to Gibbs, however Gibbs plays Norf who tag really well IIRC (according to LH)

Hibberd plays GWS, and rebounding backmen usually have a field day. Heppell could play in the MIDs and get a tag.

Would make my backlin

Goddard - Hibberd - Hanley - Malceski - Grimes - Goodes (thurlow - clisby)

then next week hopefully Goodes - Gibbs.

Thoughts?

I think Hibberd is like Howlett. Had a great start only lasting longer but I'm not touching him this season due to his mid season form  :-\

I'm backing him in for a big one this week. As you say rebounders do well vs GWS and he had 105 on them last time.

I'd definitely rather have Heppell for the season though.

If you can bring in Hep or Gibbs just do it, they are GUNS in the backline, dont chase a cheeky score from a semi premo back.

Would certainly still consider hibberd a top back, hasn't been awful last few weeks just down a bit, will ton up this week though. For the long term though you MUST bring in both heppell ans gibbs, they are both must haves imo.

I don't think he has the ceiling to be a top 6 back tbh  :-\

Dont even think about putting me off for our matchup :P

Im just concerned with the other options

Heppell - whispers of a LW

Gibbs - tag vs Norf

Ibbotson - Dimma has said he will get attention.

who else is there? ???

Trent McKenzie might be a decent option?  ???

Enright is your next best bet surely?

His age is what turns me off :/ But could still be viable.

I traded Hibberd out last week to his teammate Heppell.
He has been out of form and will not end up a top 6 back on this form.

His scoring, consistency & proven ability surely outweighs his age....

Lol I'm not. Or am I?  :P. Nah I genuinely think come finals gibbs and heppell are must haves. If you're looking short term then hibberd is a good option, tonned last time against gws and palmer who often forward tags is out. Bring on our game  :)
