I'd probs stay away from Giroud at 8.5

Arsenal likely to sign another striker so yeah I'd probably look elsewhere, Bony at 8.0 or Lambert at 7.5 are both good options

as for what team is best well they are very hard to split but probably the third one for mine, I reckon you gotta have at least one of Bale/RVP

Yeah Tom but at this stage Giroud has scored 5 goals in 2 games and Arsenal haven't got another striker :P

Thing is, I just watched the EPL 2012/13 season review today on foxtel. RVP was everywhere and amongst everything be it goals or assists.

Pretty much whenever United score he's likely to be involved at some point..

I'm leaning toward the Bale team though as I plan on using my wildcard quite early to get on this years Michu and Lambert. With a couple of tricky games early, I think I'll leave RVP. If he kills it I'll get him in the week I use my wildcard.

If not he *should* slide in price.

Yeah agree, if any could nail down a regular role @ 7.5 mill though they'd be steals!

Yeah not a bad first up effort at all. Gone the RVP AND Bale route, interesting. I think because of this some of your fringe players suffer (Gayle?) and guys like Arteta are there instead of a truer premo.

In saying that, I like this team. Really can't criticize it  heavily at all. Not sure who Gayle is and would rather Collins over Baker but it looks nice man, good work!

Thanks elephants, RVP/Bale combo really drains the rest of the team. My alternate team is this by dropping RVP:

Yeah its a tough balance, you want the stars in there but you want a well balanced team as well!

Personally going Bale and leaving RVP for when I use my early wildcard ;)

I'm wondering if I can get away with not getting RVP at all, at any point in the season. If I can somehow make a team that can beat teams with RVP, it could help. Of course, to do this, I'm gonna need to have Bale.

You'd need to have an amazing team considering RvP scored or assisted 48% of United's goals last season :P

I managed to get away it last season in Yahoo EPL Fantasy for about half the season before I forgot about and stopped checking my team. ;D :P
