Good news if your a bombers supporter, or have multiple Essendon players in your team.

Perthwildcat

WADA ESADA blada blada.

What a complete shambles.

I feel sorry for the Bombers, hope it all clears up for everyone's sake

kilbluff1985

yep from what they said on AFL 360 all the players will be cleared

Wouldnt put much faith in any media around Essendon that Mark Robinson is involved in he is not exactly unbiased . Tim Watson on SEN is another example .
WADA has said its banned and they will override any mistakes from ASADA.

It wasnt even Robinson reporting the story it was the other bloke who has always thought Essendon players are in trouble but has changed his mind

Did you even watch the show?

And they said ASADA said the AODwasnt prohibited at the time they asked about it regardless what WADA says lawyers will have a field day with it in court

Everything is not as simple as you think

ASADA said its not on the S2 list of banned substances , its a play on words . Its on the S0 list
The Sun article was a joint article John Ralph /Mark Robinson
I don't see why this post is in the player trades section anyway

i get what you're saying but the AOD wasnt on the "APPROVED" list.
thats the only list that matters to these governing bodies.

if you take something thats not on the aprroved list then you will be f*cked up.

kilbluff1985

Either way it seems ASADA won't pursue players if WADA enforce them to EFC lawyers will have a field day in court after what the club was told

And I agree should not be in the supercoach board

The point was when Essendon (and several other parties) asked ASADA directly they said NO it was not band under S2 which is the peptide/hormone level, where it should be if it was band.
Now
A. They weren't aware that it hadn't been properly tested, and gave Essendon what they thought to be the right information
or
B. They knowingly mislead the football club into illegal practises

...

You do realise there is no approved list don't you?

Even if we do get off for AOD (which we almost certainly will, any sanctions will get chewed up in a court of law) there is still at least half a dozen drugs which have trails in the Essendon camp.

AOD is the least of our worries, and I am starting to get concerned that the focus was purposely placed on AOD by Essendon/AFL (See: Jobe interview) to distract from the other drugs, and subsequently 'get off' for less than we should.

Either way, ASADA is a joke of an organisation..

What exactly do you propose they do? Do you have any idea how much of a disaster it would be if they de-registered/suspended players only for them to be cleared by ASADA?
The AFLPA/individual players would go to town, who knows how much money would be lost in damages, total PR nightmare, and creates the potential for a league-wide player strike.

Their hands are tied.

right... lack of action on a pending investigation. Why the flower would they make a decision now??

Not looking so flash after the latest revelations.... I rekon Saad would be spewing if he gets two years and essendon players get off....

Just getting worse and worse for the AFL... I'm completely disenfranchised with the sport right now. Tanking, Salary Cap, Three Strikes and all this doping....
