few Bombers supporters i know seem to be in denial thinking if we do lose points we will lose points last year not this year as they think it's unfair because we done nothing wrong this year etc

but i think there in denial because losing points last year is like not losing any at all not because of where we finished but because it's really no punishment it's really hard to explain but pretty much you cant serve a punishment in the past is my point

Holz

take away last years points is ok, if it means you lose your first round pick too.

Would you rather lose your points this year or daniher?

Cicjose

they have to lose points in the year the findings are given out IMO assuming they go badly for the Bombers

Toga

Yeah it's a tough call kb but I have to agree with you in that taking away last year's points is pretty much no punishment at all - you didn't win any honours last year (apart from Jobe's Brownlow) so don't think it'd be doing much TBH...

I hope for the sake of you guys that everything turns out alright. :)

kilbluff1985

yeah but that's not my point Toga about didn't win anything last year etc my point was is serving punishment before the verdict is given is hardly serving punishment at all

Ziplock

take away points from this year and last year.

problem solved.

Toga

Well yeah  I guess they tie in with one another don't they?

If you guys had have one a grand final last year, I'm sure taking 2012's premiership points away would have been a pretty big penalty, and would therefore be seen as serving a punishment. But since you didn't, it'd be a pretty weak punishment if your 2012 points being taken away was the penalty if you're found guilty.

I'd rather lose our points.

Honestly, I don't mind if we lose points for both last year and this year - and think it is entirely possible. Other than the fact they will be our first spoons in a looong while, it won't realistically hurt us much given we weren't/aren't going to win it all in either of the seasons.

One thing that does scare me is the prospect of having all our players de-registered then re-drafted - that just makes you feel sick as a supporter...

Toga

Re-drafted? What so any club can pick them up?! :o

Didn't even know that was a possibility... :-X

As I understand it's extremely unlikely, but a few people have tossed the idea around.

Toga

God that would suck... Definitely not an advocate of that!

Actually what the NRL did with the Melb Storm was a strong action. Make them play next year ( 2014 )  for no points ...forget about 2013... 8)

Will be very interesting to see how all this unfolds. Hope it can be dealt with as quickly as possible.

Bad for our game.

Losing 2012 points would make the competition a laughing stock. Like asking essendon to go to there room to think about what they did...
