I was very impressed with our backline last week. For Buddy, Roughy, Cyril and Bruest to kick only one goal is simply amazing.
Rance has been super this year and I think he should be in the 40 man All-Aus squad, while Steven Morris would also be in contention. Very underrated, he's been great down back and he's rearle been beaten. Chappy was also good, while I liked Astbury, he showed a lot and look good down back. Vlastuin is a beauty, he's so composed for a youngster. Our midfield dominated yesterday and it's great to see Cotch back to his best.
Looking forward to taking on the Lions on next week. They can beat any team when they're on as shown by beating Geelong and Essendon.
The only change I would do is Ty Vickery for the Big O. Push up King may also come in, but I'm not sure who would come out of the side. Homely Dylan Grimes is back soon, too.

Buddy Franklin, Roughead and Cyrils combined total of 1 goal is the lowest combined total they have ever scored in their 89 games they've played together.
Add that to Astbury keeping Gunston goaless and Bruest no goals either and suddenly the best forward line in the comp combined for 1 goal.

To be fair, we have a decent record at the Gabba in recent times. We really should be beating the Lions though. They can be a tough team, but on current form we should win comfortably.

I reckon Dimma should give McBean a run over the Big O against the Lions, kicked 6 for Coburg on the weekend, and hopefully Tuck can play the full game, racked it up in the last quarter on Saturday.

Nah I'd put Vickery back in first.
If Vickery is fit then obiviously he has to come back in before McBean.

Rance has been terrible.....

He has been a witchs hat for all of the big forwards. Buddy out of form, cyril back from injury. Rance had a good game but you guys are kidding yourself if you think he has been like this all season

2nd for intercept marks, 2nd for spoils in defense, 4th for tackles in defense... You're kidding yourself if you don't think he has been great this season.

The only game he was "terrible" was against Collingwood when Cloke towelled him up. Apart from that, he's been very good in my opinion.

Buddy out of form was he? Wow I coulda sworn he kicked 8 just last weekend against a top 4 side on Carlisle who is fancied as an all Australian chance.
Rance has been fantastic all year. The only player that has got the better of him was cloke and all of that damage was done in one quater with no one giving him any support. Rance would be right in AA selectors minds right now, don't worry about that!
