I would be more worried about Mayne

Yeah problem with Mayne is he doesnt bloody miss. We have reasonable matchups for him though. Richmonds worry has always been the small forwards. Morris will go to one of them but dont really have a good match up for the other

Kellogscrunchynut

I reckon Freo will beat us and we'll get the 4 points off either Hawks or Swans.

We don't stand a chance of beating Sydney at the scg. Hawthorn we could beat but I reckon freo is our best bet

Cicjose

i know its cliche but this is the classic "8 point game"

whoever loses makes it harder to make the 8 and the 4 respectively

Capper

If the Sydney game wa at the MCG it would be a different story.

Out of the last 10 games between Swans and Tigers
it is locked at 5-all with both teams having a 100% winning record at home

Vinny

I think Freo might just beat you guys - Sorry :P

Will be a ripper of a game tho ! Pav being out does also help you.

Jroo

Our next three weeks are very difficult. All of them are likely to be top 4 so it will be interesting to see how we go.
I think our best chance is against Freo while the Hawks is winnable. The Sydney game is the hardest.
Before our bye I was thinking to make finals we need to beat one of Freo, Hawthorn or Sydney.
We then must bea GWS and Brisbane and one of Carlton or Essendon.

Toga

I'm really looking forwards to the match this weekend, think it's gonna be a ripper. As quinny said, Pav & McPharlin out give us a big leg up IMO, as I think it was Fremantle's defense (and the umpires leg ::)) that won it for the Dockers last time around - every ball into our forward fifty directed at Jack was just chopped off by Johnson with Jack being double or triple teamed.

That being said I would like to see us try to stretch the Dockers' defense this week with all three of Jroo, Vickery and Az still in the side, and potentially even bring in the Big O to help Ivvy out with the ruck duties vs Sandi & Clarke...

As for Mayne, he is definitely a danger man! Need to cut off that supply to him, but I think Chappy will match up on him okay with Pavlich out... If Freo had both Mayne & Pav then it might be a different story! But think Chappy should be able to cover him.

Nails

Freo will beat you lot by 50 odd. Not even close

Watch out for the Lions too. Won 3 of our last 4 including wins against decent teams in North and Geelong.

I think Richmond has dropped horribly in form tbh  :-\ I'd say in my humble opinion that it's an 80% chance for Freo to win. If it were the beginning of the year I'd say Richmond would win easily (I thought they would of cleared the top 8 at the beginning of this season (unless Richmond are similar to Carlton (Carlton are the most disappointing team in the AFL (how have they been so undisciplined that they cannot finish in the top 4 let alone the 8) :P Richmond should be a top 4 team soon)

But I watched the game against GCS and unless there was some extraneous factor I didn't know about I'd have to say that the way they performed was not up to top 8 standard. I don't know what happened but it was like watching them play a good game back a few years ago when they were at the bottom. Freo played fantastic against the Eagles and completely smashed them.

But hey.. If Richmond rekindle that red hot form they were in at the beginning of the season I think they should easily finish in the the 8 and will do well in finals (for a 5-8 standard). Hopefully they can continue this improvement because it would be great to see them as a grand final competitor in the next few years. They have the players they just need to return to playing like they did earlier this season. I'm a port adelaide supporter and I can easily say that out of the top tier teams that have defeated Port this season Richmond and Geelong are the only two to have actual destroyed them. All other teams we are in it until the end (in the Hawks case until halftime ;) ) but Geelong and Richmond were not good games for me to subjectively watch :) Freo are my second favourite team but when they played Richmond in round 5 this season I found myself cheering for the tigers, they are a great team featuring amazing young talents but they seriously need to get back into form, considering where they are and where GCS are Richmond should have smashed them and that game against North Melbourne was bewildering  :-\ But if they beat Freo I think that's the sign (Cotchin already looks like he is back to his form from last season). Put it this way, if Richmond beat Freo I think they'll easily smash Carlton and GWS and could take out Collingwood as well (horrible team this season, they'll soon be with the Bullies and the Saints). Lets hope for the best from them :) (also I think if Cotchin hadn't been maimed in r5 Richmond probably would have picked up the win  ;) )

Richmond should easily make the 8 but if they don't return to form I doubt they'll even beat Carlton  :-\ We could even see Port finish 7th with their easy draw if they can beat the crap teams and finish the home & away season off with a win over the Blues at AAMI  ;)

Just had a look...

Richmond are the result of a favourable early draw. The only team Richmond have beat in the 8 are the 8th place team in Port...

Yeah I'm doubting them on their recent form tbh. They have some great young players but there are still some unless players in their line-up. I doubt that Richmond would beat the Lions at the Gabba in their recent form but they are playing at MCG.

I'm relieved that Port plays Lions at AAMI because Brisbane and the Gabba are not a favourable combination for the away team  :-\

Interesting stat; Richmond's win/loss record vs Freo at the MCG is 7-2...

Remember that Fremantle were complete and utter sh#t until 2010 ;) and I think they had one good season in 2006 before that hahaha
