Think teabs said that because Teejay is a Cats supporter. :P

I'd love that though (no offense Teejay) as my Uncle is a Cats fan and I'd love to stick it to him.  ;D

My bet. Richmond is a fantastic team & they will soon be a top tier club in the coming years and should easily make finals this season. With that being said if I had to bet money I'd say Freo  :-\ Freo are a potential top 4 team and Richmond aren't at the same level as them. The fact Richmond only lost by 1 at Freo doesn't mean much, it's pretty much like stating the game will be an exact replica of the last but Richmond will score an additional goal because it's at the G, the same extraneous variables that delivered the last result won't occur again.

My bet is locked on Freo so I'm leaving it at that. But I still wouldn't be surprised if the Tigers won :) I'm just stating subjectively (and partially objectively) who the safe bet is :)

I'd measure the stakes at Richmond 45-55 Dockers

The point I was making when saying "we only lost to them by a point last time" was not to say that therefore means we are only a 1 point worse team than them. I understand footy isnt that black and white but my point was to Nails who was saying we were no hope and would get smashed so I was saying how can that be your conclusion when we ran them to 1 point at Subiaco earlier in the season? Its a closer game that he seems to think it is as the odds suggest, it could go eaither way. My tip is with the Tiges ;) respect that most people would back Freo though

haha I was just clarifying :) But you're completely right mate, I think it is going to be a very close game. Freo will be playing hard because they are wanting a top 4 spot conversely Richmond will be just as if not more competitive because they will be fighting for the 8 :) Richmond will also have the home game advantage as a vast majority of the crowd will be trying to get them over the line :) It is going to be a really good match and at the least if a flogging did occur it would be a result of a 3rd or 4th qtr burst by one of the teams :)

The bookies have Richmond the favourite at the moment.  Not sure why this is the case seeing as our form line is much better than Richmonds.  Apart from the Geelong game in round 14 we havent lost since round 4.  A lot of those wins have been without our best side on the park.  That is the same for this weekend with Pav (susp) and Balla (injury) out of the lineup

Crozier should come in for Balla
Hannath/Taberner should come in for Pav (could be Faulks and Silvagni goes up forward)

In short, a like for like player comes in to play a role.  We have been doing that all season and 1 more game shouldnt be a problem.

That being said - I got my money on Freo at $1.92

AFEV

Fremantle has only lost to top 4 teams so far this year (Essendon, Geelong, Hawthorn). As the ladder stands at least.

Richmond has only beaten 1 top 8 team so far this year (Port Adelaide, 8th). As the ladder stands at least.

I'd say Freo are a 70-80% chance to win. They're a class above, but there's no shame in that.

As for Nails saying they will win by 50+, the only team Fremantle has beaten by 50+ this year is Melbourne. Their game style doesn't really allow for the thrashing of teams.

+1 completely agree

Fremantle usually have a set of tacklers that all go for the ball when it is with the opposition and restrict the opponent's options when they have possession. A lot of people criticize their premiership chances because of their style of play but all you have to do is refer them to the Sydney Swan's 2012 season in which they played similar football and killed it :)

I really want the dockers to win it this year but so far I'm betting on the Cats

Heard on Channel 7 after the game tonight that sandi isn't playing either. That's a massive bonus
