Give him a rest ! If it means getting him back to full form - Most can play Nicholls or Staker for mow.
Yep I wouldn't mind this at all. Nicholls is good enough to cover.

If he was going to miss a week I'd much rather it be next week when Stevie J's back.

I have Nicnat, maybe ( understatement ) a little unhappy with recent scores, BUT he'll be the very last, on the very last day, problem that I attempt to solve unless he becomes a LTI. After Ablett this is the guy who is capable of absolutely anything, and a guy that I believe hasn't even come close to reaching his SC cieling. Sure his scores are down, he has every injury rumoured to have been suffered by mankind, BUT do you want him lining up against you come rd. 23 the SC Grand Final ??  LTI and he's out, otherwise ??
;)

Bully

Back and groin is the word, whispers he has the dreaded OP. If he's dropped this week then I'm pulling the trigger, the question is to who?

ZEEMAN

Was thinking who to trade out for Roughy .... could make my decision easy.

Mr.Craig

WEST Coast coach John Worsfold has revealed Nic Naitanui has been struggling with a back problem he has had to manage since last year.

The All-Australian ruckman's impact has been significantly diminished recently. gathering just six possessions in the loss to Fremantle on Sunday.

Naitanui had only one disposal after half-time in the Eagles' thrilling win over Adelaide in Round 15. Worsfold said he was confident Naitanui would be available to face Sydney at Patersons Stadium on Sunday.

"He's got a bit of a stiff back that he tweaked against Adelaide," Worsfold said.

"That was the main reason we held him from flying to Melbourne for the Multicultural stuff (last week).

But his back's improving all the time. It's an ongoing thing throughout his whole career, managing that when he does tweak it.

"I think he just tweaked it last year and often those things resurface at different times.

"His groin (is) not too bad."

Worsfold said he did not expect Naitanui would require surgery on any part of his body following the season.

Mr.Craig

WEST Coast Eagles have been cautioned to rest exciting big man Nic Naitanui amid rising fears he is suffering chronic osteitis pubis.

For the second year in a row, Naitanui has been dogged by an undisclosed groin problem that has contributed to a dramatic decease in his output over the past three weeks.

Eagles coach John Worsfold yesterday said a back issue was the cause for his form decline, insisting Naitanui's groin was "not too bad".

The game's most exciting figure has continued to play on and trained again yesterday in a brave bid to help resuscitate the club's finals hopes.

But there are mounting concerns the 201cm powerhouse is risking more serious damage that could require a more groin surgery at season's end.

Naitanui, 23, had an operation in November after rest failed to cure his problem.

Sport medicine expert Dr Rohan White yesterday said he was certain Naitanui was suffering from the dreaded groin condition.

"He (Naitanui) has declared that he has had soreness for the last few weeks and that he is sort of just getting through it and there is only one thing that does that - that's osteitis pubis," Dr White said.

Naitanui's average Champion Data ranking points have plummeted from 120 in Rounds 7-13 to 73 between Round 14 and 16. His hit-out success rate has also dropped from 55 per cent to 40.

Dr White said playing with the injury could result in other complications to the quad muscles and warned the affects could be long-lasting.

He expected the ruckman to either take a break or finish his campaign early.

"He wouldn't be the first man to require more than one operation for osteitis pubis," he said.

"He has got a bit of a cross-leg kicking action when he does those big hooks which is the worst thing you can do for it.

"I don't think we can expect too much more from Nic that we haven't seen already (this season). It's about as good as it's going to get.'"

But Worsfold said it was Naitanui's back that had been causing him trouble.

"He's got a bit of a stiff back that he tweaked against Adelaide," Worsfold said.

"I think he just tweaked it last year and often those things resurface at different times."

Naitanui has been taking painkillers to complete games. White said osteitis pubis could continue to limit Naitanui if it wasn't fixed.

"The nasty thing is, sometimes you can never get rid of it. He is going to be running around, he is going to have low grade soreness the whole time," Dr White said.

Is that the trick where you just copy and paste the headline and click on one of the stories that comes up from another website?

No just google Courier Mail go to AFL and read the same HS articles without the blocks re:digital pass required. Maybe Queensland readers are special or HS just want to rip off Victorians I don't know....Edit- just tried it and need a digital pass lol...looks like they've tightened up. Has worked for me in the past.
