Hey all, help would be greatly appreciated here

Outgoing are Jobe and Nicholls (in 2-3 weeks, have gone with 2 so he's hopefully just shy of 400k)

So basically about $1.1 mil to spend on a midfielder and a forward (or ruck).

Too many players to put in a poll so have just listed a few of my favourites, will be open to all suggestions.

Anyone apart from the following players can be picked
Ablett, Pendles, Swan, JPK, Danger, Cotch, Priddis, T.Mitchell, also Goldy, SJ, NicNat, Walker, Rocky, Cox, JJK

Cheers in advance

Would go with Jack and Minno or Roughy for me mate! Bartel prone to a rest soon enough, and Minson and Roughy show no signs of slowing down in the near future. Jack over Selwood for me, showing great consistency and good scores.

Wouldn't go near Cyril with him being extremely prone to injuries but Griff is a great choice.

Option 2 for me mate

Agree with Wato, Cyril is a huge risk unless you wait till he drops in price. Option 2 for me with Roughead.

Yeah I'd be waiting two weeks for Nicholls to get to 390k and Cyril to 450k and then pulling the trigger on that one.

I'm also leaning towards option 2 though, the poll seems to suggest the same. Jack looks the goods, less worry about being rested as well. For that reason I'm tentative to get Bartel, Minson and Roughy are both pretty safe options IMO.

Like Griffin and Cyril, but would make Cyril my last and as late as possible trade unless I was well off trade wise, which I ain't
  ;)

Can't you time it with cash cows and nadirs in order to get Griffen and Cyril?

I reckon Cyril will be cheap and he has such a high ceiling he could make the difference.

Lots of goal assists, clearances and CD seem to like him almost as much as Bruce does.

Yeah I was planning on doing it in 2-3 weeks.

Griffo next week, Jobe on the bench for this week.

If Ablett is out again it's a different story, with T.Mitch and K.Mart on the bench I'll be copping a donut if I don't trade Watson.

Cyril certainly tempting. Can I trust his hammies?

Are any of us? Haha, thanks for the advice mate I reckon I'll wait a little, yeah.

What about Pav instead of Cyril? He's expected to drop considerably, has a high breakeven and has WCE in the derby this week.
I'd expect him to drop between 450 and 470k within the next 2-3 weeks so would you consider him over Cyril? Similar layoff, can both play Mids, Pav does kick bags of goals, and has a great draw after Round 18. Adelaide, Carlton, GWS, Melbourne, PA and Saints.
He could tear it apart, and average 115+ over that period! Will be a huge POD also.. I'm considering him and will monitor him over the next 2-3 weeks then hopefully get him in if he proves himself.

Jack and Minson for me

No you can't trast Cyril's hammies!! But if they can stay unbroken for the last few rounds he could be a great pick. Just have a plan B and C if he gets injured.

Like Wato_ said, I would keep an eye on Pav - I will be... Could be a great forward option (I have Rocky and Buddy, they need to lift their games if they expect to stay in my finals side!)

roo boys!

Yeah I did actually forget to add that I was considering Pav, but had slipped my mind thanks for reminding me Wato! Cheer for you mate.

It could be pretty close money wise if I do it in two weeks, as $187k in the bank at the moment + Jobe ($528k) - Griffo @ $550k leaves me with about $55-65k in the bank depending on how much Griffen falls.

If Nicholls proceeds to rise as expected he'll be about $390k in two weeks time, $390k + $60k = $450,000 for a forward or ruck

Of course, if I can't afford Pav then I can probably afford to have Nicholls on the field for one more week and get another ~$20k price rise.

Does this seem the option to go now? Griffen is a gun after all, but Jack not that far behind...is he?

No worries mate, and cheers! Yeah I thought I'd put him in their as I'm watching him aswell. I'm doing the same trade but Staker for him if everything goes to plan.

Griff and Pav with their draw would be a huge point of difference and should score you a load of points. Griff should average an extra 20-30ppg over Jack each game just because of his opposition, and with Pav you know he'll play every game compared to Jimmy, and should kick a bag or two especially against GWS and Melbourne. I'd take them two over Jack and Minno or Rough mate. Good luck!

I don't think Griff will fall to 550k mate! was that a typo? If he falls below 620 I'll be surprised, BE is only 150ish this week (I say only meaning if he still gets 110-120, and he could likely get more, he'll only drop ~20k. At 664k now)

Yeah it would've been a typo, think he meant 650k mate

roo boys!

Yeah did mean 650k sorry about that!

Thanks for that mate, you've convinced me I reckon that Griffen's the way to go. Definitely Pav over Cyril? I guess I've got a few weeks to look at it, was looking at trying to squeeze Pav in for finals anyway but down to 5 trades (3 after these moves) I doubt I'll be doing luxury trades, I'll just get 21 premos (Goodes doing the trick at D6). Which means I wouldn't grab Pav anyway, so what I'm basically saying in a round-a-bout way is Pav looks the goods.

Cheers :)

Like you said mate, you still have 2-3 weeks to consider who you want, so there'd be no definite yet, but Pav is preferred and does look the goods at this stage. Cyril could have an awesome next few weeks that would make you reconsider but I'd think otherwise.

All good mate, best of luck :)
