Should I just go for broke?

Hi lads,

While I sit and ponder the season could have been, injuries have pretty much destroyed my team and left me in this situation:

Goddard Gibbs Shaw Hanley Hartlett Duffield (Thurlow Clisby)
Ablett Pendlebury Watson JPK Jelwood Cotchin Priddis T.Mitchell (Viney Colquhoun)
Goldstein Maric (Nicholls Osborn)
Cox Bartel Walker Martin Franklin Rockliff (Staker Lamb)

4 trades left with 150k in the old bank :(

I don't have a terrible team, but my problem is with 4 rounds left until finals I sit around 9th-10th in all of my main leagues. Winning from here on is a must if I want to sneak into 7th-8th position.

Watson needs to go, and I still have Mitchell starting in the midfield. Initially I thought I would just trade Watson straight to Mundy and keep the extra cash to trade out Mitchell, but I'm now thinking I should go for broke and grab Dangerfield. This would mean going Thurlow > Blayne Wilson (surely he will play) and grab Danger for Jobe. This will leave me about 140k to trade out Mitchell/Viney when I get a chance.

Would this be the best thing for me to do? I would rather scrape into the finals with 1 or no trades left then miss out and still have a few in the bank. I'm also contemplating getting Mundy still, but also grabbing Wilson down back. If he takes Waters' spot for the next 3 weeks he could be excellent backup, and will leave me with heaps of cash to upgrade a mid.

Had a terrible year but am still keeping the faith for a miracle!

Id go swan over danger.

Hmm I thought about Swan as well, keeps a little bit of cash in the bank too

I'm in the same situation, sitting 10th in my main league but 1st in another.  :o The main league matters the most and I will do anything to make the 8. The top 8 all have 8 and 9 wins with me on 6 so its going to be hard. 4 trades left  :'(
The league is ranked about 280.

The main thing to remember is your aim to finish Top 8.  No use finishing 9th with 2 trades remaining so go for broke to finish Top 8 and hope for a smooth run in finals with injury and gs .

Yeah that's it Ringo!

Now thinking Thurlow > Wilson (if named) and Watson > Swan.

Hopefully with Dangerfield's run - Collingwood (Macaffer tag), Geelong, Fremantle (Crowley tag) he will have a game of 90 in there and drop to around 590-600k and turn Tom Mitchell into him.

Yep, I'm playing number 1 spot this week. Using 2 trades will leave me with 2 :o But team is looking good with a proj score of 2519 this week. If I make it to the finales then big Pav in for staker if I have any left ;D

Then it'll be finals time and chances are you won't have any trades left by then. I have the same problem with trying to get Griffin. Holding on to Watson for afew more just to see things out, if he still doesn't look good to come back by finals then straight to griffin.
