Trading Watson out for one of these 2 jokers only

Squishy draw for Dockers coming up, Sydneys draw not too shabby either

Cant see either team resting anyone with % and top 4 - even potentially top 2 - so important to interstate teams nowadays

Will Pav, Mundy and 211 start to take their fair share of the point pool = lower scoring potential for Barlow? Pav and 211 are definate players able to be dominant match winners

Would save a bit going Jack to spend on a rainy day.

Tough decision...I dont think either would be a bad choice - tending towards KJack...just

I don't think Sandi and Pav will take much out of the point pool at all to be honest! They have an awesome draw, and like you said he won't be rested. Jack is competing for points aswell at Sydney with JPK, Mitchell, ROK, Mcveigh and what not so they even out there.

The only thing that sways me towards Jack is the $50k saving. I believe Barlow is the better choice, but in an ideal world, you also have to think about long term and that $50k can be the difference! Sydney have a tough last few weeks (Hawks, Collingwood, Geelong) and that could be the difference if Sydney are having a bad day, between winning your leagues and losing them come finals time. Barlow in that same period plays GWS, Melbourne, Port and Saints. I just think come the business end of the season, you'll be confident of a 120+ game every game from him, whereas with Jack he could go 130+ or get that high 80's or 90's score. That $50k could be worth paying now and reaping the rewards from later.

So I'm going against you mate.. M Barlow in a tight finish.
Really a flip of the coin decision, both great choices.

He won't be rested. He's just spent two weeks out, and Fremantle will be pushing extremely hard for top two and a home final come finals time. They are a much better chance of winning against one of Geelong Sydney and Hawks over at Patersons, so I just can't see it happening. Aswell as Mcpharlin out for 5 weeks and Duffield out for another few, they won't be risking the chance of resting too many stars. Add that with the return of Sandi and Pav and they'll be wanting to find a settled team come finals.

It won't happen mate.

"Jack is competing for points aswell at Sydney with JPK, Mitchell, ROK, Mcveigh and what not so they even out there"

Pav kicks 5 and 211 has 50 hitouts with 2 goals & 8 contested marks for a normal day at the office.

Disagree they even out....by plenty...the points will need to come from somewhere...throw in Mundy also

I guess KJack has been playing with Mitch & co for a while so we know what to expect in scoring potential.

Great post mate...votings getting close...

Bloody tough call

The main consideration is Barlows draw is an advantage - but 211 and Pav will steal a large amount of points guaranteed

Perhaps those points will be supplied by lesser likes - Walters, MJohnson, Fye & Ibbotson

I agree but JPK, Mcveigh,  ROK, Mitchell all usually get 25+ possies, 15+ contested, plenty of tackles, few goals between them, in a usuall day of footy. Toss in Goodes, Bird, Tippett, Mummy, Malceski, and there's plenty of points to be stolen. Sydney have the best Midfield that runs both ways in the comp so points will even out compared with Freo's, my honest opinion anyway..

Cheers mate, put a bit of thought into it as I want one or the other for one of my final luxury trades soonish hahaha.

It's so so tough, but I still believe Barlow's draw drags him over the line! If Sydney didn't have those tough games during SC finals I'd be for Jack but he doesn't.

Flip a coin mate! Best way to choose

roo boys!

I think both will be competing greatly for points, after all that is why they're both playing in top 4 sides.

I'd be leaning towards Jack for the 50k saving, could become invaluable down the track especially if a lower end premo goes down so you can upgrade replace them rather than settle for an ordinary replacement.

Jack's tough finals draw is a bit of a concern but not when you look at his games so far against top 4 sides, 130 vs Geelong, 121 vs Essendon and 120 against Freo. Wasn't disgraced against the Pies or Hawks either

Barlow has some huge projected scores , yes I know its only a guesstimate but Im one of the members of the "rigged CD fan club".

Should I be worried that Barlow is also named on the bench?

He just had a few weeks off...maybe he is carrying a niggle?

Ive gone for Barlow at the moment but having him named on the bench has definately thrown my confidence

Surely a coach names his best, FIT and firing players in the starting 18...last week he was servicable but down on output

Not always mate! Wouldn't take too much notice about that though anyway. Mitch Robinson is named in the back pocket every week yet plays up front and on ball.. Don't read too much into it if I was you.
Barlow's a good pick and has a good draw. Playing in the derby and top 2 up for grabs, this is a danger game for them, one they'd expect to win.. He'll play

Yes I know Lyon is definately from left field...but Ive played a bit of footy at a decent level and team selection is very important...if your not in the starting 18, that means there is an issue

Yes MR has been in the back pocket but he is still in the starting 18...a poor example IMO

Ill wait to see what tomorrow night brings, if he is still on the bench...Im goin Jack

So the 4 interchange players all have issues? Hahaha you're kidding yourself buddy, poor quote there

Hahaha he's out of position isn't he? If Barlow is on the bench he's out of position? Duh

Righto buddy! Whatever suits yourself

nrich102

I'd get Barlow, but can't really go wrong with either.

Im just saying from playing experience, your best 18 starts on the field, if you dont then theres 98% of the time an issue why your not in the starting 18..either through fitness, form or ability...I never mentioned anything about out of position?

Not sure where your coming from about a poor quote but all is good mate, its a forum, and you have posted good points for discussion...thank you

Adding to your argument is SJ has been named on the bench and he was out due to suspension, not form or injury

And MMurphy

So you win

:P

Silly me

I do play football aswell mate, so I'm not dumb, and yes I know what you're saying.. hahaha just saying that even though MR Is in the 18 he's well out of position, so Barlow could be in the 22 but on the bench.. He'd usually start on ball so he's out of position also.

It didn't read well, that's all mate, I apologise.

Alll good mate! Everyone is allowed their opinion on here, that's what adds to the great discussions! All is good :)
