Trading Waters and Luke Brown. Current defence is: Goddard, Gibbs, Duffman, Heppell, ?, ? (Wilson, Clisby)
$1,005,100 available, so keep that in mind when voting. Basically set on getting Hanley, unsure on other defender though. Getting Hibberd or Hartlett will leave me with enough cash to hopefully finish my mids with 1 trade.
Have 7 trades remaining before I complete these 2 trades.
Thanks in advance.

Hanley you like. Is. Good one.

Shaw is the other one you need. Pies won't be able to rest I reckon with possible top four still on their agenda.

Yeah, with Brisbane's draw and Hanley's price, it's too hard to resist  :P
Shaw will definitely be a top 3 averaging defender, it's just whether or not he does something stupid before the season ends that has me a bit worried

It is a risk that is always with Shaw so you need to weigh it up. With 7 trades left and if other lines are also complete it is worth the risk as if need be you have a trade to use to sideways him.

My last upgrade is in mids, with Mitchell at M8 atm. If I don't get Shaw, the cash saved could be used to upgrade Mitchell to a premo mid using one trade, but I think I would rather keep him at M9 if possible. Cheers.

This is why I made a post- wouldn't even have considered him if you guys hadn't have mentioned him. Will definitely be under consideration now. Cheers.

As I have posted in another thread just be wary of Thompson.  Whilst his scores have been good and his average great look who he has played.  Until last week he had not tonned it up against any of the Top 8 sides this year and he has some hard games coming up.  Just a word of caution to look at who has played for the high scores.

Hmmm, thanks for pointing that out. He hasn't necessarily gone that bad against the better teams, but hasn't tonned up either. Thanks Ringo

Bump. Seems as though it's gonna be Hanley and Shaw, unless people manage to convince me otherwise.

I would definitely take Hanley and Shaw first. I'm taking Thompson from North as a POD to complete my backline.
