One last big crack at Collingwood, all on the line. This is our Elimination final now!

Win and have another go next week! Lose and ....  Season's over! Possibly anyway

So, leave Rutten out, Callinan out, Porpoise out. Rest Thommo for a game or two,

Bring in Mitch Grigg, Lyons, Brodie Atkins, Ellis-Yolman, Hartigan, Luke Thompson, get some games into this talented bunch of kids. Keep Riley, Brown, Laird, Kerridge, Lyons, McKernen in the side! Give Johnston a decent number of games to see what he can do!

Thoughts?

You need to win ALL of your remaining games. If Sanderson was coaching a top soccer club he'd be sacked for not meeting his expectations.

So yes, give them a shot.

its me lads

I think we should keep the Porpoise in the team, we need him to get some confidence again, played alright against the Eagles too.

Would be very hard to drop the Truck, real champ, not paying his best footy but probably wouldn't be the right thing to do, might retire at the end of the year anyway?

Callinan can go.

But no matter the result of the Pies game I think we should give all the youngsters at least a few games before the end of the year.

Vinny

It's going to be tough for Adelaide ! It's possible tho so keep your head up ;)

As I am doing, Blues supporter here. Very tough to make finals but gotta keep the faith.

Grigg is sure to get some games, hopefully Johnston does too with McKernen out, really want to see this Ellis-Yolman boy! Also draftee Atkins

so, just curious, what's the difference between doing that, getting games into your youngsters, and the giants 'tanking' strategy?

I'm not saying it's tanking, I mean you probably won't be putting your best team out every week, but your seasons flowered anyway, so who cares.

just curious? Cause to me, if you're classifying the giants as tanking for trading away their mini draft picks for national draft picks as tanking rather that going after experienced players, then surely having experienced players, and choosing not to play them to expose your younger players to AFL also constitutes as tanking?

tbagrocks

Every year once clubs are "gone" they start "List management" To prepare for next year, this is not tanking!

Different from getting a competitive team out every year! It's not the start of the year, the players brought in are expected to perform unlike starting 18 year olds at the start and expect to win,  or even be competitive ::)

Sadly Riley broke his leg and is out for the season :(

PowerBug

The Crows are the only team that can't tank anyway Ziplock ;D They've got nothing to gain. :P This means one of two things, they're stupid coz they've forgotten tanking has no major benefits for them, or they're just a shower team. ;D

Nice one Silky squirrel :P

Lairdy was amazing for me, defensively brilliant, these two Browny and Lairdy will be 250 game club champions

Time for Hartigan, L Thompson, Grigg in for Paddy, rest Thommo and play Kerridge and Lyons, give Atkins some games

Sando said in the pressa "We had the fourth youngest team out there this week" Plenty of talent to work with  ;)

Jay

MITCH GRIGG HAS TO PLAY!

Been saying it for a month now. ::)

LJ on the weekend 29 touches, 3 goals and 17 hit outs. Can't be too far away?

Surely? With McKernen out  :P  I really want to see him get 5 games no matter what, unsubbed, see what he can do, which could be quite a bit! Much like Lynchy ;D, similar to what Browny and Lairdy and Lynch have been given, give Lyons a decent go also!

I'll be disappointed if LJ also Griggy aren't named!
