I don't think it's worth it. 6 trades is not a lot, and goodes is actually on your bench anyway when duffield comes back.

Thanks for the suggestion, didn't really think of this.
Does anyone agree with Footyrulz?

I did Vlastuin to Hanley & Goodes to Hibberd no regrets do

roo boys!

I could potentially do the same trade but I reckon I'll hold. You have a few more trades than me though, but still 6 isn't plenty. I say hold those trades Goodes will be more consistant than Hanley anyway.

Hard to cull someone after 111.

Hanley in yes especially with Brissies next few weeks but Goodes out certainly not!  He's amongst the highest averaging defenders and with his recent rest after injury and suspension should see him continue 90+PPG. Ellis I'm not convinced on, a star most certainly but a dubious SC role ATM. Duff out for a few more. Either or of these two guys should go. If Ellis is out this week trade otherwise not much point. Surely you'd get more gain from upgrading some1 in ur mids?

Look at it this way: If you're set on getting Hanley in then really you have 3 players you could conceivably drop, for one reason or another, being Goodes, Duffield or Ellis. The other two will remain, one on field and one on your bench.
So the question becomes 2-fold: 1) Do you really want/need Hanley; and 2) Which is the least valuable of those three?

For me the answer is 1) yes (given his price, scoring potential and finals draw) and 2) Ellis. Lacks consistency, least JS (imo given his repeated vestings), and currently worth the most money (ironic given I'm labelling him the least valuable of the 3!).

If Duffield was fit now, would you be benching Goodes or Ellis? The worst outcome is that you end up benching Hanley, which I guess is a wasted trade but equally the payoff could be remarkable...

Bump. I was going to do Ellis to Hanley if Ellis wasn't named but he isn't so I'm still not sure.
I'm actually thinking of waiting a week and grabbing Grimes next week for Goodes, which will leave me with some cash to hopefully do Nicholls to Pav the week after.

Ellis not a prem in my mind, and is set to drop hugely in price. If you keep him this week then you have to back him for the season.
5 scores under 40, a couple of 70s, an 80 something and 4 tons. 3 of which were big, yes... it's the 5 under 40 that would be my concern. I know there was injury and vests, but that doesn't matter, whatever the reason the points are (or aren't) there...

In your position, Ellis to Hanley with no hesitation.

I'm not concerned at all about his 30s. All of them weren't his fault as he was either the starting sub or subbed out. He won't be used as the sub again as he's taken his game to the next level. I understand your reasoning in Ellis to Hanley though and I'll see what some others have to say. Thanks for your input.

Blues Blues Blues

Keep Ellis. And keep Goodes if you can. I have Ellis, Goodes and Duffman and keeping all 3. I traded Thurlow to Hanley

Vinny

Out of the three - I would keep Goodes and Duffman. Trade Ellis.

Both Goodes and Duffman have really good finals draws.

Both will surely put out good scores - I think Ellis will slow down and is more prone for a 70s score.

Thats just my opinion and prediction :)

Ellis to Hanley will leave me with $50k in the bank.
Goodes to Grimes next week will leave me with $70k
I'm not confident that I'll be able to grab Pavlich for Nicholls in two or so weeks.

Do you need Pav? I guess if you're still in need of finishing off other lines then you could leave Hanley... depends on the state of your team overall I guess

He would be my F6 and push one of Buddy, Cloke or Rocky onto the bench.
