iv been planning to bring in jobe watson for a few weeks now, but with his latest developments in the drug scandle im worried about him being suspended/stood down or anything like that. if he is playing im not worried about his scores suffering. what are your thought?

vote in the poll and comment any reasoning you have. thankyou

Vinny

I am in the same situation mate !

I think I'm just going to bring him in anyway because most SC players' teams have - Heppell, Hibberd , Watson etc.

If suspensions were to be given - most would not have trades to deal with losing that many players.

Based on that I'm going to pull the trigger and hope it works out :)

no eye deer

Been wanting him for weeks, but starting to lean towards Danger. Lucky I still have another week to decide. O'Meara is set for another price rise this round, so maybe wait if that's who you're trading out?

Trading out blics. But might wait a week and decide between Watson and jack next week.

With ablett out I will have to hold blicavs an extra week & look at offloading viney now.
Why am I scared to pull the trigger on Watson? I want him in my final side but something is telling me it can turn sour.

Dont worry mate ! Bring Watson in :)

Most SC teams consist of Watson, Heppell, Hibberd etc.

If all those players were be suspended - At this stage of the year SCers would not have enough trades to deal with it.

This would damage the competition especially at high rankings.

Most likely if sanctions are given - SC will compensate.

Hope that put you at ease !

I bloody hope they do vinny, but I'm not too sure how it would work really...I mean some people have discussed 2 "free" trades for everyone, I doubt there would be a way that HS/SC could gauge how many Essendon players every team has and give that number of trades but that would probably be ideal.

Then again those that have deliberately avoided Essendon players due to this controversy will be disadvantaged due to what is really just cautious and clever team management.

I'm looking at bringing in Hibberd this morning, but I'm still tossing and turning a little about potential sanctions. Adds another dimension to our already great game!

Surely it'll be treated same as a LTI? If folk are happy to take their points while there's a cloud hanging over them, can't complain when they get disqualified. Just my opinion. ::)

Yep that's what I mean in the second little bit there about how those who have deliberately avoided Essendon players because of this very reason will be upset if SC compensate, and rightly so.

Another alternative that I can see happening, even if the players escape bans if Essendon have their points stripped off them I'd imagine there'd be a fair bit of resting of senior players once they've got nothing to play for?

I'd imagine Jobe being the captain and all would still play, especially if he is still eligible for the Brownlow as he'd still be up there this year.

But Heppell, Stanton, Carlisle, Hibberd, even Goddard etc could be rested a little?

Who knows at this stage
