Dublin soo good ill likely win the NDT B & F
Where did Kieren Jack Tom Hawkins finish in the Dublin BnF?

Low but he plays for a 2 time premiership team, so its harder to win a best and Fairest at my club.

My best and Fairest played 22 games and averaged 120.
Lowe because you have depth, or low because he's pie...

I'm thinking the latter

Mainly because Hawkins looks like he enjoys a pie or two

he was the 23rd best forward in the comp. That makes him a great F2. He also put up 111 99 in his 2 finals games he played for me. Pretty great actually.

A year younger then Murphy too.

33rd you mean

And Murphy 8th :P

I go by average not total score.

Murphy is 14 and Hawkins is 23rd

Hawkins 1 year younger and i needed fwds. Good trade.

Well, what a fine home and away season that was! The rightful minor premiers were dominant throughout, minus that weird loss against Moscow. Luckily for our premiership favourites, Moscow won't be a problem from here on in, but the only other game New Delhi lost was... against their opponents this weekend, but I'll get to that in a minute. The Tigers may only have the standard three players that average more than a 100 this year, but they have incredible 8 others than exceed 90! This is a team that is strong throughout, but may feel some absences in their forward line this week. To me, New Delhi's best win so far this year was against the team that defeated them in the last week of September last year; Rio. That day in Round 2, they scored 161 to banish any demons have held, and if they performance didn't impress, it was scoring 160+ against Pacific, 150 against Beijing, 148 against Seoul and even 163 against Toronto. But, they only scored 136 against Dublin, which was all the way back at Round 1. Over the summer, and continuing throughout the year, New Delhi have engaged in such a immense rivalry of words with the Destroyers that their performance failed to respect. Of course, the Destroyers have been such a dominant force since their premiership winning 2014 campaign and have been used as the benchmark for all up and coming teams. This year was no exception. Although more prone to a sub-standard score than they have been in the past, the Destroyers still managed to compensate for this by finishing 3rd on the points the ladder. In fact, had they played New Delhi in every round this year, the ledger would only just be in favour of the Tigers 9-8. Furthermore, all 8 of these would-be wins occurred when Dublin scored MORE than 150 points... so I guess you could say the equation is simple. If the mighty Dublin mids fire, then they will probably win the game. Given the rivalry and score power of these two teams, naturally it is my MATCH OF THE ROUND, and one that I actually think Dublin will get up in.

Brad's Dublin defeats Matt's New Delhi

What a sunday from Dublin! Martin, Brad Crouch, Sloane & Greenwood lifted big time and defeated New Delhi at home! Huge win for Dublin, a really disappointing loss for New Delhi. Is Dublin their bogey team? The Tiges get their deserved second chance next week.

Crouch ties Murphy on 38 votes with 2 games to go!
Both had ripper games, but Matty just edged out Marc for the best on ground honours

But most importantly, Travis Cloke grabs votes for the first time this year!!

You always say that you only care about finals

Hawkins didn't even play in your prelim, and you copped 2 scores in the 70s in that week

Murphy played throughout every single finals game, and averaged over 110 in that time

Murphy > Hawkins

Murphy > Hawkins

QED.

Finals 1:
Murphy would have played over Hill +21
Parsons would have played over Hawkins - 54

net effect -33

also rich as E1 outscored Murphy for NDT.

Prelim:

Murphy over Hill + 25

net effect +25

Grandfinal:

Murphy over Hill +48
Marshall over Hawkins -48

net effect 0

So 33 points worse off, 25 points better off and equal in the grand final with Murphy.

QED

it would have meant Marshall would have been a premiership player, so that would have been nice.

New York's tight win against the reigning premiers both season validating and denying us a would-be 2016 Grand Final rematch. In fact, resenting New York has been a favourite past time all 10 teams that scored more points than they did throughout the Home & Away season. But you know what? They're still in the finals, and 5 of them aren't. Winning whoever is put in front of you is an underrated yet obviously necessary quality that this team seems to have better than anybody; no matter what adversity is present. Had these two teams played each other every match this year, New Delhi would lead 12-6. Getting back to New Delhi's season average of 149... New York's is 134, having equalled or bested it twice this season. One sided odds you might say! However, those two times were just 3 and 4 weeks ago and if any team could grind out a win under the odds; it's this one... but New Delhi to meet Seoul for me, in a thrilling preliminary final.

I don't think I've ever been as excited to see a WXVs match like I am with this one in what is my MATCH OF THE SEASON. One of the biggest surprises I've even seen in a Head-2-Head would have to be this one. Seoul has only beaten New Delhi once? Crazy. I think that would have been in 2014, when New Delhi were in the infant stages of their Ricophants leadership. Oh, how the times have changed now. Seoul dodged a big bullet in their qualifying final against Pacific; finding a way to win with their third lowest score of the season. Yes, you can largely say it was because Dangerfield was absent, but to the teams that claim this Magpie dominance is just him and a lucky draft steal at Pick 6 two years ago, I say... Seoul has them, you don't, and that is the result of fine team management. Since Round 8, Seoul has averaged 150ppg ranking 1st in this time. Narrowly behind them at 149ppg, is New Delhi. So on average, if these two teams played against each other every week this year, they'd score just about 300 points between. ON AVERAGE. Good, god, this is going to be a ripper final! Seoul's midfield trio is surpassed by none, who combine to average 360ppg between them, and chuck another 134 as a captains bonus. Seoul can rely on KelliveField. But, they will win this game if 2 or 3 of Whitfield, Greene, McEvoy, Swallow and Lynch stand up too. What will Seoul do in their second ever final? Soooo excited!

Seoul superb; Tigers Tumble

Quote from: Purple 77 on August 20, 2017, 08:59:12 PM
New Delhi has added another loss to the minor premiership ledger, now sitting 0-6 for premierships. It was another final where the worst was saved til last, which was just a real shame to see such a consistently dominant team exit the comp in this manner. Houli & Ross did well to add some respectability on the Sunday, as a Seoul midfield was at the very best in combining for 523 + 146 (C) points. Good, god. The Magpies - like the Tigers would have - fully deserve their place in the premiership bout and, for one last time, will call on KelliveField to produce.

For now, we say goodbye to New Delhi; who I'm sure are already deep in talks for highly beneficial trades. It was a breathtaking season.
