Not gonna lie it feels pretty good owning two boys averaging 110+ for the first time in our time at NDT  ;D

Sidey at 116 has been a star as captain

and Conigs <3 at 113 is only just hitting his straps ;)

Certainly not something we're use to down at New Delhi

Toges if only you traded us Neale like you promised, my life would have been complete :P

Toga

Could definitely argue that you are a force already, my bad ;) Could be a season defining match come the end of the year!

Man do I know that feeling - Ward, Neale and Zorko going 110+ is the first time we've ever had that as well, makes a huge difference when you've got a captain you can rely on. Haha but Neale would've probably cost you one of those boys anyway ;)

Purple 77

OH! You guys think you're SOOO good with your numerous 110+ averaging players!

*say in condescending voice*

"Oh yes! Look at me! I'm improving! I've got good players! I smacked Berlin!"

WELL NO ONE CARES! - quote; Purps insecurity

:'(

Ricochet

hahaha let us have our little moment Purps

That's all we ask

Oh and trade NDT Fyfe at the end of the year...

Nige

Would sure be nice to have players scoring 100s on a fairly consistent basis, let alone averaging in the 110s.  :(

That's how we felt less than a year ago! So just need to do some work with the list and I'm sure you can get there ;)

Jeremy Howe is also starting to make some noise

Lol at Howe

"One of the reasons why I left Melbourne is because Collingwood have a defined role for me up forward"

You're a shower forward Howe. Given consistency, you're a pretty handy defender. But that makes me lol.

Quote
It was a move designed to bring one of Gold Coast's most gifted players into the action, and Jack Martin's switch to the backline has shown early signs of success.

Like many of his teammates, Martin was excellent in the unbeaten first three weeks, kicking nine goals and proving a perfect foil for spearhead Tom Lynch.

But as the SUNS began to lose, the young West Australian drifted out of games and began to lose touch in the forward line.

So when Adam Saad left with a hamstring injury late in the third quarter against GWS two weeks ago, coach Rodney Eade shifted Martin to half-back.

He wanted to get the 21-year-old more involved.

Eade persisted with him there against Adelaide last weekend, and Martin â€" playing primarily as a loose man - responded with 21 disposals and seven marks.

A very New kind of feeling in this match which I have gonged my MATCH OF THE ROUND! The Revolution have been an impressive force this year; besting its peers, generally beating the teams below it comfortably but has seen a couple of disappointments in the form of a 3 point loss against a good team in Rio and a more convincing loss against another good team in Christchurch. There is a bit of Adelaide about the Revolution for me, they just have a good outlook about them and are generally considered to belong in the top 8. New Delhi have really asserted themselves of late in the form of two consecutive 150+ scores! Amongst their 4 wins, they comfortably beat teams ranked below them and bested two respected peers whilst their losses have come against the more established teams in the comp. In this regard, I liken them to Port Adelaide, but unlike Port Adelaide I'm more sure of them continuing this upward trajectory! My tip? A very tough match this one! But New York have been doing it for longer and I think they'll get over the line.

Was an interesting match the whole way through, and the New York coaches would have you believe they were done and dusted from start to finish. An effective tactic to get into the Tigers heads? Maybe, maybe...

Team of the Week

Quote from: Nige on May 30, 2016, 11:22:50 AMProbably the most interesting team of the week yet if you ask me. While a number of the faces in the team of the week are those we've seen before, the highlight is that not a single player from neither Mexico City nor Dublin made the team. Another amazing point is that Holz still managed coach of the week... but only just! 9 more points and it would have gone to New York's co-coaches or 12 more points and it would have gone to Buenos Aires' coaching duo in Vinny and iZander! Tom Mitchell's big score sees him don the armband, while World favourite (unless you're Holz/Dublin) Max Gawn is his vice.

There is no arguing that these Tigers are a vastly different unit to what they were last year. I mean, if they lost the remainder of their games this year, the season could still be marked down as a huge success. Despite being 12th on the ladder, the Tigers are the 5th highest scoring team so far this year! Wow! Moscow in that regard, seem to be the complete opposite; sitting 9th on the ladder (when you consider their outs, that's god damn impressive) but 15th on the points ladder. The Spetsnaz though have really turned up in the last two weeks with scores of 136 & 142 and if they post a score in that vicinity again, then you'd give them a chance to upset the Tigers... despite being above them on the ladder. Moscow would have beaten the Tigers last week, but I reckon New Delhi will respond to their recent loss and account for the Spetsnaz.

Spetsnaz Guns Misfire as Tigers Claim Gritty Victory

Quote from: Purple 77 on June 05, 2016, 09:27:46 PM
Moscow simply didn't have enough quality scores from its players, whereas New Delhi only had one more, which was the difference in the end. New Delhi should be feeling lucky with the win. However, the Elephants absolutely massacred the Wolverines! Wow!

The Tigers got luck last week; winning with the 3rd lowest score of the week. But to be fair, they were probably due for a bit of luck when you consider were they have come from... luck turns with form I guess! The Tigers sit 10th and just a game and a bit of percentage outside the eight, and when you consider that they finished in the bottom 6 last year and will hence play those teams in the final 5 weeks... then they're every chance to make the finals! Cape Town have had a really solid past 3 weeks with scores of 141, 132 and 144 despite losing their last two matches. For a currently bottom 4 team, they're not that bad are they? It's a tough, tough comp this year and although only with 3 wins, the Cobras present a danger game for all of its opponents. Cape Town would have beaten New Delhi last week, but I expect the Tigers to respond to their down game and account for the Cobras.

Cobra Strike at the Death

Quote from: Purple 77 on June 13, 2016, 08:29:39 PM
Now that was impressive! Faced with under-the-odds chances in the last stretch of the game against quality NDT opposition, young Cobras Dom Tyson (121) and Dean Kent (119) each pulled out truly special performances to get the Cobras over the line! This was a great win for Cape Town, and a really deflating loss for the Tigers.
