Carlton rookie Brad Walsh has taken away the 2015 Laurie Hill Trophy as the Northern Blues’ best and fairest player this season.

Walsh was Northern’s most consistent performer in his 16 VFL games, triumphing ahead of place-getters Nick Graham (second), Mark Whiley and Northern Blues captain Brent Bransgrove (equal third).

Walsh polled in a team-high 11 matches on the night including his last six matches of the season, on his way to a vote count of 82 for the year: 26 ahead of Graham in second place.

The hard-working inside midfielder was a deserved winner on the night, as a reward for unwavering consistency and effort in 2015.

CARLTON list chief Stephen Silvagni has added another young Greater Western Sydney player to the Blues’ trade wish-list.

The Herald Sun can reveal Carlton has interest in exciting wingman Liam Sumner.

The line-breaking midfielder was taken at pick No. 10 in the 2011 national draft but has played only 12 games in his first four AFL seasons.

Brandt had some biiig games in the WAFL this year and was unlucky not to get games. Grabbed 30, 36, and 38 possies over a 3 week period. Hopefully he go to another club and get more opportunities to do similar at the top level
