Hellopplz

I wish Grant the best at his new home, has the skill, just needs some consistency and a more suited role as a Key Forward is a bit much for him to play :P. Looking like it's gonna be a nice season for you lot.

Sorry mate, we ain't Cairo ;)

Besides, Jack was clearly only traded in for his off-field leadership abilities. :)
Meh, Mummy will outscore all 7 of your rucks anyway.  :P
Fun fact: the real reason Nige loves Mumford is because he has a face only a Mummy could love

Are you defecting?

https://au.sports.yahoo.com/afl/news/article/-/26336039/suns-gorringe-set-for-utility-role/

Four months after his proposed trade to the Power fell through, Gorringe looks set to be played through the midfield for the Suns in a utility role similar to that of Port's roving tall Justin Westhoff.

With Zac Smith, Tom Nicholls and Charlie Dixon well ahead of him in Gold Coast's ruck pecking order, the 199cm Gorringe was played on the wing during a match simulation session on Wednesday.

Suns coach Rodney Eade said the 22-year-old can expect to play "multiple positions" this season, just like Westhoff does to damaging effect for Port Adelaide.

"Having a utility who's got some talent like that is very rare in the competition," Eade said.

"Westhoff can do it, but there's not many who can play multiple positions at that height.

"If we can train him up, it just gives us a big advantage.

"We're going to try him (in midfield) at stages.

Along with a few other teams, thought I'd quickly look at our trades and how they've gone so far this year
EDIT: Quickly definitely wasn't the right word. Forgot how many there were

NDT Trade Review

Trade 11
Cairo give: Clancee Pearce, Kyle Hartigan, Lewis Johnston and Sam Kerridge
New Delhi give: Matt White, Rhys Palmer and Pick 60

Thoughts: Since Hartigan and Johnson were delisted (Interesting that Hartigan was actually re-drafted in the international draft by Londan with that Pick 60), we can probably look at it as Clancee and Kerridge for White and Palmer. Really we've giving up two guys with limited potential and a late pick for an 86ave defender and Kerridge. Although we haven't seen much of Sam this year we think he has enough ability to be a starter for us in the future.

WIN/LOSS? Probably fairly even, but not too much going on here

Related Trades: Clancee was ontraded for a deal involving ZClarke

Trade 16
New York give: Pick 10, Tom Nicholls and Ben Griffiths
New Dehli give: Mitch Duncan and Pick 24

Thoughts: Maybe a bit controversial at the time given that we traded Duncan, but there were a few reasons for it. The first being that we desperately needed rucks and this was also before they changed the bloody ruck rules >:( . Duncan also losing fwd status meant he was most likely at peak value. We used pick 10 to get Masten, who is only 2 years older and SC numbers are pretty similar to Duncan's. We see Griffiths as worth approx pick 24, so

Duncan (24yr old - 94ave mid)
for
Masten (26yr old - 92ave mid) + Nicholls (23yr old - 91ave ruck)

WIN/LOSS? Win

Related Trades:
NDT Give: Nat 10 + Nat 24
SaoPaulo Give: Chris Masten + Liam Sumner + Blaine Johnson + Nat 38

Trade 40
Berlin trade: Jack Trengove + Pick 24 (from New York)
New Delhi trade: Leigh Montagna + Will Langford

Thoughts: Wow this hurts. We thought Montags was done, and he's pumping out a 119ave. I still believe Langford is pretty limited so not too concerned about losing him. We knew Trengove was a risk but this was around the time he was rumoured to be going to Richmond, and before news came out about him re-injuring his foot.

WIN/LOSS? Biiig loss

Related Trades: Nil (except N24 that went everywhere in this trade period)

Trade 46
New Delhi give: N42 + N78
New York give: Apeness + Sinclair

Thoughts: We were keen on Apeness to add to our Freo ruck stocks. He was pick 17 from the year before so N42 was probably a win. Sinclair was eventually on traded to get Conca but using N78 for him was about right.

WIN/LOSS? Not too much going on here really.

Related Trades: Sinclair was later used in a trade to get Conca

Trade 52
NDT Give: Nat 10 + Nat 24
SaoPaulo Give: Chris Masten + Liam Sumner + Blaine Johnson + Nat 38

Thoughts: See trade 16.

Trade 53
NDT Give: Jake Melksham + N38
Dildos Give: Robert Warnock + N72

Thoughts: So much spudness in this trade. We were really expecting Warnock to get a full season under his belt and increase his value. But he's only managed 2 games and is out for the year. We also gave up a 3rd rounder. Massive fail

WIN/LOSS? Loss

Trade 65
NDT give: Ben Stratton
Cairo give: Jarman Impey

Thoughts: Two young defenders averaging similar.

WIN/LOSS? Meh

Trade 67
NDT give: N6 + Sheridan
PNL give: N5 + JGrant

Thoughts: The main priority was moving up the draft order here, with the early draftees being a cut above the rest. Both players are having average years but Sheridan was a loss given he is still only 22. Grant has shown some promise lately with 99 and 85 in the last two weeks. Maybe he will play a vital role this year after all.

WIN/LOSS? Pretty even. Allowed us to move up to N4 later though

Related Trades:
Trade 115
NDT gives: Nat 5 + Nat 45, Nat 47 and Nat 57
Cape Town gives: Nat 4 + Nat 54 + Nat 59 + Nat 88

Trade 73
Mexico City give: Tom Bell
New Delhi: Shaun Hampson

Thoughts: Wow Tom Bell, who would have thought. A nice 92 average as a fwd/mid. No need to say anymore about this trade....
....
...
Except that we ontraded him :( for basically Seb Ross. Here's hoping Ross lives up to his potential.

WIN/LOSS? Biiig Win

Related Trades:
Trade 130
NDT give: Tom Bell
Beijing give: N39 + Tim O'Brien

Trade 132
NDT give: N39 + N88
Tokyo give: Seb Ross

Trade 86
NDT give: Toby Greene
Seoul give: Stephen Coniglio + N29

Thoughts: Extremely happy to get our boys Conigs over to NDT. Yes Greene has pig-like ball winning ability, but Conigs is all class. Taking out Conigs round 1 sub affected score, he is averaging a respectable 98, compared to Greene's 87. Add in the 2nd round draft pick and we'll take the short term win. Greene's addition of fwd status in AF may give the edge to Seoul if it is also giving in SC next year. N29 was also used to pair Dan Gorringe with Tom Nicholls, further strengthening our ruck stocks.

WIN/LOSS? Win

Related Trades:
Trade 103
NDT Give: N29
London Give: Dan Gorringe + N47

Trade 88
NDT give: Wellingham + N72
New York give: Templeton + N45

Thoughts: This was all about long term. Wellingham isn't going to be a premo in SC so it was a good time to go after some youth. Templetone was on traded for Curren who we rate highly (even though he's having an average year in 2015).

WIN/LOSS? Meh.

Related Trades:
New Delhi give: Eli Templeton
New Delhi receive: Tom Curren

N45 was also used to upgrade N5 to N4.
London Give: Dan Gorringe + N47

Trade 97
Berlin trade: Reece Conca + Pick 66
New Delhi trade: Jordan Murdoch + Ben Sinclair

Thoughts: Hard to judge. Murdoch has potential but we really went after Conca to strengthen our midfield. The former #6 pick has struggled with hamstring injuries this season. Pick 66 was used to grab another Freo ruck in Hannath.

WIN/LOSS? Short term loss given Conca hasn't played this year but a pretty even trade.

Related Trades:
Trade 105
New Delhi give: N66
Christchurch give: Jack Hannath

Trade 99
Dublin trade: Pick 57
NDT trade: James Podsiadly

Thoughts: We had to get rid of the old man eventually and pick 57 was what we got. The pick was later used to upgrade N5 to N4.

WIN/LOSS? A win given we haven't seen JPod this year, but pretty meh.

Trade 102
Cape Town give: Jack Darling + Nat 48 + Nat 70
New Delhi give: George Horlin-Smith + Shane Savage

Thoughts: Jacky D! We've finally got our boy back playing. He'll take a while to get back into some form but we're confident he'll be a premium fwd sometime soon. Shane Savage is such a tease. At times he looks like he'll be a premium defender, and at other times he's a fringe player getting dropped to the 2s or copping vests. GHS has only managed the 3 games this year at an average of 46. The picks were used later to grab a couple of young developing players.

WIN/LOSS? Pretty even given Darling/GHS has hardly played and Savage is only going at an average of 68.

Related Trades:
Trade 127
Seoul give: Darley + N64
NDT give: N48

Trade 138
New Delhi: N70
Buenos Aires: Simon Tunbridge

Trade 112
New York give: Koby Stevens
NDT give: Dylan Buckley

Thoughts: No doubt Buckley has some potential but getting Stevens for him was a win. The fwd is averaging 90 this year and has been one of our better performers in 2015.

WIN/LOSS? Win

Trade 129
NDT Trade: N64
Tokyo Trade: Will Hams + N79

Thoughts: Meh

WIN/LOSS? Meh

Trade 142
Moscow Give: Zachary Clarke
NDT Give: Clancee Pearce and Ryan Bastinac

Thoughts: This one hurts a little. Again, we went after ruckmen before the new ruck rules hurt their scoring potential. Clarke will soon be the #1 ruck at Freo but in the short term we've lost out a little now. Clancee is averaging 86 as a defender, although he'll lose that status next year. Bastinac is having a shocking year, but the potential is still there. Overrall not a great trade for 2015, but may pay off in the future.

WIN/LOSS? Loss

Trade 144
New Delhi give: N59 + N79
Toronto gives: Jesse White

Thoughts: Lol

WIN/LOSS? Loss

Annnnd that's a wrap. Overall a bit of a mixed bag. Our strategy of loading up on rucks could come back to bite us now that the ruck rules have changed but they should still be valuable nonetheless. Quite a few of meh trades at the end of the trade period to grab blokes at bottom value in the hope they increase their output in 2015. Some have worked some haven't. In the end though, we've given ourselves a bit more trading value for the 2016 season, so we're extremely happy with that.

QuoteGOLD Coast's nightmare year has taken another twist, with rookie ruckman Keegan Brooksby suffering a blood clot that will rule him out for the rest of the season.

Brooksby noticed swelling in his arm early in the week and was taken to hospital, where he still remains.

The 25-year-old is doing well at the moment and in no immediate danger.

:o

I still don't think that's anywhere near as bad as Cairo's problems right now.  :'(
