AFL Hall of Fame members Tim Watson and Robert Walls believe Gold Coast prodigy Jaeger O'Meara
has the potential to become the greatest midfielder in the history of the game.

Heard this on SEN this morning. Massive call but I don't think it's too far off depending on injuries.

Justin Bieber

Well he pretty good. His first year is better than anyone's first year that I can remember.

Yeah my mistake.

What I find even more interesting is that they seem to be suggesting that Ablett Jnr is currently the best mid ever to have played the game.

Respect both these guys but saying that about a 19 year old is just stupid, as much promise as he has shown he hasn't actually achieved anything yet...

Supposedly Jack Martin the other kid from over here is even better than O'Meara.
So going to be interesting to see O'meara,Martin ,Ablett Swallow and a few others in their mid field next year.
Maybe they will make Ablett full Forward.

Still bulldust recruiting no matter what anyone thinks!

Two 17yr olds when they had 20 already :O Frog me? They needed some experience to be competitive, otherwise it would be tanking :o

Yes, I said tanking! Flowering cheats!

...

they traded their first round pick from the 2011 draft (pick 4) as well as swapping like pick 10 for 33, for omeara

how is that tanking?

how is that any different to what adelaide did with crouch?

how they go about their list management strategy is their own business. It's clearly not tanking since omeara has come in and made an immediate impact, I think you're just upset because your own team is only sitting one win ahead of a 'tanking' gold coast. Maybe adelaide's tanking as well?

oh wait, no, I forgot, the crows are just showerhouse.

Last time I checked you don't hold any positions or qualifications that makes you eligible to accurately assert is a club is managing its list properly, if it's intentionally tanking, or if the rules that the afl puts in place to assist brand new expansion clubs and prevent them from folding to further the game.

So basically, stfu.

He believes that the concessions allowing gws/ gc to initially draft 17 year olds was cheating, the mini draft picks that gws traded away was tanking as they didn't trade them for crap but older players, and that apparently GC trading their national draft picks for mini draft picks was also tanking.

O'Meara will become the greatest human to ever participate in a sport in the history of sport.
