I look at the stage profile for stage 18 and i say good luck.

Edit: ooooooooo Stage 21 finishes at 9:45pm local time. A night time finish into the streets of Paris. 8) So that'll be like a 5-5:30am finish for us! Sprint finish under lights! And i know in SA that Monday morning (21st July) is the first day back at school.

Sprinters will need to work hard here if they wanna stay up in the yellow jersey contention - although they have no hope when the mountains really start.

You do know that is Tour De France etiquette not to try and over take anyone on the last stage right?

PowerBug

Yeah, but there'll still be a sprint, that's the exciting bit :D

Tonight is going to be great! Biggest single climb of the tour I think!

PowerBug

it's ridiculous. There's a little category 4 climb about 20k's in, then it's flat for a fair bit they pass the sprint point, they'll all be there i imagine, then there's the high spot climb (2001m) followed by a category 1 climb (1375m) which is where the finish is!

Moving day it is. Who will rise, who will fall. :O

Team Sky will make their move today. Are they the enemy? Many say yes because Brit Chris Froome is the team leader, but who else is in that team and on equal time? Richie Porte!

Disagree that it is all over Contodor is less than 2 minutes down and another 2 of his team Saxo tinkoff including Australian Michael Rogers are in the Top 10 within 2 mins 40 of Froom.
A lot will depend on the amount of coverage Aussie Richie Porter gives Froom.  He was great support last night enableing him to get to second place overall.

It will be hard for Cavendish, Schleck or Evans to win though from where thaey are placed.

Ringo, Contador doesn't have the same rhythm he had during his winning years. I will be amazed if he even get's within 3 minutes bar crashes from Froome. Cavendish is a sprinter, his aim is to win stages and was always going to struggle up the big climbs. This is like last year all over again.   :-\

Contador isn't on the gear anymore. I reiterate

PowerBug

Double climb of Alp D'Huez tonight! This is the last chance for Contador to make this interesting.
