Hi all!

A new position has opened in the WXV... the New Delhi Tigers!

New Delhi have had a troubled season, with three different coaches this year, but I like the team's spirit. Despite having one of the weaker lists in the competition, they have 3 games this year - most of them against the odds.

They have potential in many lines, and this team would suit a strong trading personality!

Please apply with your best xv and how you see the team improving.

Applications close on Tuesday, with results to be announced by Round 15 lock out.

Name: Ele
Applying for: New Dehli Worlds Team
XV Experience: Bashers (EXV), Hedgehogs (BXV), Crocs (assistant) (AXV) and admittance to the new TerranX/DT Americas comps.
Coaching Mantra: Trade hard or go home.

My Best XV

B: G.Ibbotson, B.Jacobs, B.Rutten, N.Vlastuin
M: L.Montagna, S.Black, D.Cassisi, R.Bastinac
U: A.Mullett, J.Melksham
R: Maxy Bailey
F: S.Wellingham, J.Blair, J.Stringer, J.Murdoch

Now obviously this team is not going to be winning the premiership this year. And maybe, just maybe, we will narrowly miss finals next season as well. I do however see an immense amount of potential in this young list and I think I have more than enough to work with.
Kids like Jacobs, Vlastuin, Basti, Mullett, Melky, Horlin-Smith (personal fav.) to name a few show an immense amount of promise and we would quite comfortably base the team around this blokes as we progress forward.
I think there is a nice mix of youth and experience in the squad and with the caliber of some of the experience, big names could be bought to the club via the trade windows.
The team has a few proven performers in Ibbo, Joey, Welly and Blair and these are the players we would look to keep hold of as we begin a reformation and reassessment of our future goals.

As said before, I've traded extremely hard with the Bashers and developed a list that was capable of winning the cup (but injuries proved to be somewhat of a hurdle). I have sacked all our fitness and conditioning coaches to ensure that a repeat of this would not occur.

I would love to take on the challenge of fast tracking the development of this team and getting New Dehli up amongst a finals position where it belongs!

It'd be a pleasure to be involved in the Worlds comp and I look forward to hopefully working with the New Dehli lads in the near future 8)

*Ele leaves the conference room after completing his pitch to the tune of "Eye of the Tiger" with the new New Dehli Slogan unfurling from the ceiling...*

"Slow walkers? Maybe. But we never, ever walk backward."

I'd have only good things to say about ele, great applicant! :)

There is no chance we will be making the 8 this year, and I'm doubtful of next year, but from there there is a bright future. Young guns such as Nick Vlastuin, Aaron Mullett and others. Also there are the older guys, such as Montagna and Simon Black, Ibbo and Blair all bring maturity to the team. The Tigers have a bright future :)

Maybe he prefers the other scoring systems? Not to mention that co-coaching is horrible unless you genuinely get on (and work) well with the guy you coach with.
