Not a fan of the victory (big club mentality when they're really not

Well, we are.  We're the biggest team in the A-League, whether you or anyone else likes it or not.

Where did victory supporters get this sense of entitlement? The league and world doesn't revolve around the victory, you know. Almost as bad as Sydney :3

"Brisbane cheats" lol

Didn't see the 2011-12 grand final? Wouldn't assume brisbane "supporters" follow their team that well, however...load of bandwagoners. Home crowds of about 10k every week throughout the season despite being the reigning champions, then a 50k home crowd in the grand final...rising 35k from the semi final.

Master Q

Just popping in as their is no EPL on tonight.

And I just got reminded how sad this league is.

Love it how when a good Aussie youngster comes around they are immediatley pushed overseas because even the A-League clubs know they can't help them anymore  :P

elephants

Ahhh the A-League season. Its that time again when every one of Jukes' posts is 100% right 8)

So? Wouldn't you rather our good talent playing overseas where they can develop under a good youth academy?

Seriously, the A-League has been here for only 9 years... people like you seem to forget that.

If you guys don't like the A-League then don't watch it.  It annoys me how you all watch the EPL and just assume that the A-League is going to be just as good.  Of course it's shower in comparison, the league has just start it's 9th god damn season.  I've been watching since the very first season, and the league has come along in leaps and bounds.  Yes, it's still got a hell of a long way to go, but the A-League is in a good position right now.  This is our national league, you should be supporting it, not knocking it every chance you get.  ::)

Nodo Nuts

Hey all, looking for some advice & help if possible (maybe lots).

I'm definitely a novice with the soccer, doing EPL & A-League on Sportal for the first time.  I've been doing DT for 3 seasons and really enjoy that although hardly brilliant at it.  Still, that doesn't matter, it's great fun.  With DT there are heaps of useful online resources like FanFooty, DT-Talk, etc., but I'm struggling to find anything similar for the EPL or A-L.

Short of reading every article in the press (just won't happen, not that keen!) how do I avoid doing really dumb things like picking Daniel McBreen and putting him on the field when he's been loaned out???  That's just one example, there's plenty more.

The Sportal "Head to Head" and "Live/Completed" have been anything but live - is that normal, is it always like that?  If it is then there's not much point in looking at it until the Gameweek has finished.

Any advice appreciated.

Agree with you, the comp has come a long way and gaining players like del piero, heskey and ono have helped the competition become more popular and increased the quality of it. Also good to see that the attendance for a round has been broken i think, don't how much are at the perth glory v adelaide united game though.

There are two threads dedicated to fantasy here in the boards. Both are relatively active, with mostly random discussion but I'm sure the guys in there would be willing to help.
