Heskey v ADP v Gallas
The battle for the Spoon

Why did people expect us to win our first two games? Both away, both without Smeltz and (obviously) Gallas, and in both we has several new players who will form the core of our team, such as Sidnei and McLaren.

Expect our third straight finals appearance, and we'll see how we go from there. We've gotten flowered over two straight years by a dodgy penalty call, third time lucky?

Bang on, we are essentially playing our 3rd and 4th choice centerbacks too.

Michael Thwaite should be back this week!

I think getting ADP, Heskey and Kewell (twice) has been brilliant by A-League and the clubs involved. Gotta start somewhere, and if it's old fellas that'll get people through the gates, then that's the way to do it. Slowly those old players will get younger, and better, and it'll be a very good competition. It already is a close competition, there are many teams that could take out the title this year imo.

A-League is on the improve, can't go from nothing to brilliant in two seasons, got to start somewhere, and those three, and having a FTA game each week, is brilliant. :)

>A-League currently is the 11th highest average attended league this season (2013 or 2013/14), including the Colombian league which has only had 2 games played in 10th.
>So basically tenth
An extra 1500 people per game on average will put it up to 7th. Already ahead of leagues such as the J-League, Championship, Brazil, Russia, Belgium and Scotland.
So proud of our league. We're getting good.

And the crowds are almost matching the NRL's, it's brilliant.

So much this. Well done Australia. It's pretty amazing considering our population.
