Is it worth the double trade to get Heater in or do i single trade to Hibberd or Ibotson?
Def: Gibbs, Goddard, Hanley, Birchall, Heppell, Vlastiun (Goodes, Sierowski)
Looking to upgrade Vlastiun to complete my bench.. 80k in bank

I have heater, in great form. But Ibbo has a good run during the SC finals and has form also. Might be worth saving the trade if you don't have many left.

Have 8 trades before i trade this week

Shaw is a risk with suspension/injuires but you have goodes on the bench.

easy choice here go Shaw, if you had a weak bench is tough but a no brainer.

Shaw 114 since round 3 onwards, you have to pick him.

is the proven player

tough finals run where he is likely to get well tagged by at least two of his opponents though. that's my only hesitation.

ive gone Ibb, been very good this year and has a good run home

You say that, but are the points you gain from picking Shaw over Ibbotson really worth the extra trade?

With only 8 trades left I'd be leaning towards Ibbo, those trades are precious come finals time.]

+1 great point, saves a trade, but be wary of downgrading blokes like Goodes to important rookies as they are still important for cash generation to finish your team. Good choice either way.
Ibbo has a great last few weeks whereas Heater has a great next few weeks. Your choice mate, but for me it's Ibbo.

Think Heath Shaw is worth it. I'm definitely getting him in.
Birchall and Vlas out for Heater and Clisby ...will use extra $ on final upgrade in coming weeks...probably Wright to Heppell/ Duffield.

People are underestimating Heater. Hes been probably in the top 3 defenders for the last couple of years so has history. May get the low score once every couple weeks but can go high aswel and is usually consistent as can be seen with his average around 100 last few years. Whereas ibbotson before this year his highest was 72, so he is not proven and it is a risk

This is very true but you have to take in account of everything. Heater is pretty good at shaking the tag but one would see his last 5 games as extremely tough, with a lot of points going to many capable players. Remember, Heater is $60,000 more than Ibbo.
And every player has a breakout year.. Could this be the year that Ibbo does that?

Averaging similar numbers, with Ibbo being the more consistent. Although he is a risk, I would be willing to take it.
His last 10 games feature 8 teams outside of the top 8.
Heater plays 6 teams outside of the 8 and a few of them are quite good teams. His last 3 weeks include Hawks, West Coast and North whereas Ibbo has Melbourne, Port Adelaide and St Kilda. Ibbo from what I've read through other threads gains a lot of points from intercept marks and going third man up, meaning he is untaggable. He is more of a loose man, then rebounding defender, whereas Heater is quite the opposite. Just feel Ibbo is capable of anything in the last three weeks which is something you want.
The extra $60,000 also could be used on future upgrades, meaning you could afford a Super premium over a Premium in the Mids.

Ibbo for mine  ::)

Think it depends on your trade situation.  If you have plenty of trades and are done (or just about) elsewhere in your line, the. Yes he is worth the extra coin.

If you are low on trades and/or have other lines to finish, then just go for someone like Ibbotson.

caluuum

I'm getting both in this week  :P
