Long overdue

hoping the cricket selectors can improve via some youth for a change

the Socceroos have done well in recent times and have some youth coming into the system

cant see any improvements happening before the ashes im afraid....

(despite the ashes being the only thing australian cricket has cared about for the last 4 years)

Yeah he is a well regarded and respected coach, good appointment I reckon. He won't be able to do much  in the next 2 weeks though.

Thank god! This is actually the best news relating to cricket in a long time. A quick restructure at the top, sack Pat Howard, that position is not needed, and leave selection up to selectors and not captain or coach. And with Boof in as the coach he knows the values of team spirit that were around 10 years ago, and that's what this team needs right now. Good on you Cricket Australia, a step in the right direction.
