I doubt they'd go for England if Australia were favourites,

+1!

And Jayman and JBs, bring on the Adelaide test!!

Capper

We gave them an almighty scare, as they thought they had the series in the bag and didnt even have to play 100%.

15 runs only, Clarke has never used the DRS properly, maybe someone else should be in charge of them.

Well played England, game on though. They won the battle but the war isnt over

Who said Test Cricket is dead!!!!

3rd umpire was probably a pom.
Try South African, born and bred.

You know the decisions were suss when the bookies are refunding!

I see they conveniently removed the white dot on the bat where the ball hit it...

That last decision was out, it looked it to me live, DRS just confirmed it. Seeing as the Broad wicket really sid deicee the match, hopefully the ICC can rework the review system so we don't get things like that happening again. Time for te Aussies to regroup for the next match, if we can just get some runs from the top and middle order and not leave everything to the tail, we will do all right. Just remember, we played poorly in thisnmatch and only just lost, so much for England being overwhelming favourites.

While Haddin did fall off a bad stroke, he played a great innings until then. Showed why he deserves to e there over Wade right now.

I'd make two changes for the next test, Khawaja and Harris in for Cowan and Starc. Cowan is not a number 3, while Usman is and he should get a go. Harris is a matchwinner and should be playing, Starc the worst of the bowlers.
Completely agree. I thought it was definitely out live, and wasn't sure why the poms weren't as convinced. Haddin batted superbly, one of the better test match innings I've seen in recent times considering the circumstance, 80 to win last wicket down on a day 5 pitchand patto too played almost flawlessly. Cowan out Khawaja in makes sense, hopefully now boof is on selection pannel they'll give him a fair shot. I know the selectors like the different angle a left armer in starc provides but let's face it he bowled pretty ordinarily at times. Harris as you say is a matchwinner as long as he can last the match.

Hahahaha like I saw the other day the english have got a kenyan winning the tour de france for them, the welsh won the rugby, a scot won wimbledon and south africans won them the first test.

It was out, but the way they arrived at that conclusion wasnt right imo... as were a bunch of other DRS decisions, did anyone else notice that the original Haddin decision was NOT OUT but the scorecard panel on the tv immediately gave it OUT ??? it also remained that way throughout the review, i dont trust the poms, im not calling shenanigans but we definitely drew the short straw

Nige

I guess in the eyes of you lot, anyone not Australian is the same anyway. That's pretty stupid, but there's no point arguing with you people. ::) :P

Since Trott and Pietersen are apparently not English, I may as well throw out the names of Andrew Symonds, Kepler Wessels, Brendon Julian and Clarie Grimmett, just to a name a few...

You can't really say that South Africans won England the test. Both the 'South Africans' in their team only really performed/contributed in one innings. If you want to find someone to blame for the loss, maybe put the onus on your beloved skipper Michael Clarke and his use of the DRS.

RiOtChEsS

It definitely was bad Nigey i got no issue with that, how about u regarding the DRS outcomes, Australia get the short straw?

It was a good test that was spoiled by too much spite and drama. There's definitely an argument to be made about Australia getting the short straw, but at the end of the day, to me anyway, it's pretty hard to ignore the fact that Australia's top and middle order didn't do enough.

roo boys!

Why are you Green and Gold people blaming the opposition for your own faults? (Not using DRS for it's intended purposes)
why are you not a green and gold person?

flowering White Goodmans

I don't see any reason why you'd support a team playing against your own country. It makes no sense. flower off out of our country.
The way you all are sounding on here i might just do that. I don't see why you are all going crazy over every decision that didn't go the way of Australia. It's ok to be angry, but why blame the match on it when if you look closely, you'll see that it was Australia that cost themselves the match. Or more closely, as BP has said alot, it's Michael Clarke's fault.

DRS should be changed though, as i can't see teams changing the way that they use the system, and since they all use it to buy wickets, not correct howlers. the system needs to change. :-\

@BB: That was brilliant by Haddin, he'll keep his spot for sure. :)

Because unlike you piece of showers who have no patriotism or pride in your country. We have passion for our country, Win, Lose or Draw they are doing therir best to represent every Australian. If you want to support England then book your plane tickets and flower off over there, who knows England will probably sign you up for the next Ashes series.
It's like poetry, well said JB

EXACTLY! "I go for England because I like their players"

Honestly, I don't even think Stuarts Broad's parents like him....

They've also put "Sportsbet" along the edge haha, I assume to cover the faint white speck.

Honestly, not a great way for one of the better tests I've seen for a while to end. But, watching live I did think it was out, the conclusive thing that did it for me was the audio, hot spot didn't prove or disprove a lot IMO but there was a clear sound as the ball went past the bat and Haddin was playing it way too far away from his body to be bat flicking pad or shirt or anything. Was a pretty woody sound too.

Great knocks by Haddin, Rogers, Bell, Hughes and of course Agar.

Really not a bad effort from "the worst Aussie side to ever tour England" that was "going to be absolutely pantsed, 5-0 to England", going off that I think it's hard to declare the results of the next 4 matches with any degree of certainty.

Bit like JB cannot wait for any of the Pommies to come and field down in front of bay 13, but particularly Shoulder Pads Broad.

For the next test, out Cowan in Khawaja, wouldn't mind seeing Hughes move to 4 and Clarke back down to 5 where he does his best work, Harris needs to be in there IMO but being a left armer myself and a huge Starc fan I don't want to see him get dropped. Looks the most likely outcome though.

Need to make the most of Harris while he's fit.

Bandwagoning cows that want to support a winner in everything they follow. Airport shouldn't be too far, go there and get the flower out of our country.

False.

Richmond in the AFL, Bobcats in the NBA, West Tigers is the NRL, Chelsea in the EPL.  ;)

And for the record, the airport's just over an hour away.  :P
