Normally the 4th innings is starting on late day 4 or early day 5...

There's a chance the 4th innings will be day 3 PB. Bit different.
When you say normally, you mean all tests yeah? England isn't like Australian pitches, where you would see most of your cricket.

Let me take the last few tests played at Trent Bridge:
2012 Eng vs WI: Finished Day 4, session 3.
2011 Eng vs Ind: Finished Day 4, session 3.
2010 Eng vs Pakistan: Finished Day 4, session 1.
2008 Eng vs NZ: Finished Day 4, session 1.

This pitch recently has had all matches finishing early, so yeah, I say it won't be different at all 200+ will be difficult to chase.

To add to this, the highest chase at Trent Bridge had the match finished on Day 4, session 2. The two chases over 200 finished on Day 5, cricinfo don't say which session they finished in (too old) but judging by the scores from stumps, they were the 2nd session., still implying that the chase started at least by the 3rd session of Day 4.

new ball taken. need 3 with the new pill

Look who they played against...

Out of form India, showerty Pakis and Windies...

Hardly decent teams to compare with. England would smash all of them in 4 days or less on most grounds. Australia lifts for Ashes so a bit of apples and oranges really.

That wicket fell just in time, for the sake of the game. :) Need the next one to fall just as the lead get's to 150, then 180, 200, then 220 and all out with a lead of 230. Australia to have some overs to bat just before stumps today, then it goes again and finishes tomorrow. Perfect situation that would be. :)

Na. England to smash out a 450 lead

Australia to open with Agar and Hughes

Australia win by 10 wickets in the final session on day 5. Agar scores 350* on debut in the 2nd innings.

What do we reckon Australia need to keep England to in order to have a possibility of winning this?

Will back us to chase down anything under about 250.

oh good now we get to listen to Nasser  ::)
He is such a horrible commentator. Wish we could have Beefy and Holding on the whole time. Only two who show a bit of impartiality. And what happened to when we would send a bloke or two over to commentate with their team. Mark Taylor's random inputs from the desk don't tell you much at all.

SIDDLE!!! We are right on top here now. Let's do what we did in the first innings and clean up the tail cheaply. Could give ourselves a nice easy chase here of about 200 runs.

To be fair, it is SkySports, and the guys on Fox are getting them aswell iirc.

If you want something funny, listen to the ABC. They have the BBC guys there. Boycott is the most biased guy. Turned it on last night, it took 5 minutes for him to stop yelling UMPIRES! into my ear, referring to the stumping call and how Agar should've been out for 3. Then going on to say that England got screwed over with Trott aswell. J.Agnew the whole time asking for the side on hotspot. So the conversation was:
"Those bloody umpires, this shouldn't be happening!"
"It's cricket Boycs."
"They aren't consistent, they are going to cost us the game!"
"I want to see the side on hotspot for that Trott dismissal."
"Stupid umpires, Erasmus will have alot to answer!"
"I want to see the side on hotspot for that Trott dismissal."
"Well go down there and tell them you are the lead man at the BBC, and give them your bloody request Aggers!"

Was quite a laugh. They then went on for 5 mintues about this "Boycott Bingo" cake that was bought into the studio.

Boycott then went onto to repeat 20 times that he liked the photo of Katy Perry and was saying that he knew which piece he was going to eat.
"There's a photo here of Katy Perry, who let's say, is missing some clothing."
"She looks very nice there Aggers."
"Have you heard her sing, that's not bad either. But yes, somewhat revealing picture."
"I know which piece i want Aggers, someone go get me a knife."
"haha Boycs, she does look ok."
"Ooo lala. Where is my knife? I know which piece i want.'
"OK BOYCS SHUT UP NOW I GET IT!"

Sorry for going on :P Wicket fell at the right time.
