The slivers of gold you get from commentators! :P

What an amazing session.  I simply can not believe what I have just watched.  I've been a cricket fan for 20 years and I can't ever remember seeing anything that crazy.  The game was on a knife's edge as it was and then England just ripped through us.  To be 98 runs behind with 9 wickets down and then to end up taking the lead is just insane.  And this all happened in one session.  To those who are trying to say test cricket is dead, then just watch that one session and you will see that it is still alive and well.  We still may lose, but god I love the Ashes, as it just brings out these classic moments.

its me lads

^^Too true. People say cricket is boring but mmm that session  :P That was great to watch, Agar, what a gun!  8)

+1

Well as an old man I have never seen such a comeback as this and for it to come from a debut player its almost Warne like in the ball of the century. Surley Agar will keep his spot even if he bowls bad. I'm just astounded and love these moments to bits!!

Just a couple of quotes, some from those who are now fapping all over the team selection.

except that when someone younger and better is there we dont pick them.

Agar is rubbish

Ummmm so where is Nathan Lyon? Not picking the best spinner in the country that in his last match took 9fa including 7 in an innings. WTF :o

Cowan no. 3 ::) that's just sad... But how about the ball that got Clarke, no one in the world could have kept that out.

Good chance to have a win now that we've got a new coach.

Still think Steve Smith is a spud and would have loved seeing Fawad Ahmed get a run. Bob Katter was a disgrace when he spoke about it.

Watch it. Then watch the ball to remove Clarke. This guy, with a new Duke, is unplayable. Only 76 more wickets to be Englands all time wicket taker.
'Only 76'.

76 is a lot of wickets!
It is, but the guy is 30. Are you expecting him to retire by the end of next year? He'll get 40+ by the time these 10 tests are over...

Maybe only was the wrong choice of words, but he'll comfortably reach that milestone. :)

flower mate have to start calling you Jukes soon. Gonna suck him off when he comes to Adelaide too?
No mate, i'm not. Unlike you and alot of other Australian supporters i am mostly unbiased. And i don't think what i said was a call of such bias anyway, he is bowling very well, is one of the most complete bowlers in the game, and has plenty of time to take these wickets. :)

But there is one post here i am actually proud of, take a bow BB67th:

I really struggle to see why Agar has been selected though. Lyon has slightly better figures from the warm up games, and did take a 7-fer against India in his last test match. REally feel for Lyon at the moment, hasn't really done a lot wrong.

To me it looks like Agar has been selected on his batting, with the selectors wanting more in the lower order, which shows just how much faith we have in our batsmen.

Australia does not have a good recent history of picking spinners from nowhere, but Agar does have a bowling average on the right side of 30, so who knows. I hope he does well, but I have no idea why he was selected. Lyon more deserving of the spinners spot, unless he is out injured of course.

So we've learnt that apart from the two guys noone wanted in and Fail Hughes they're still showerty right?

Mr.Craig

Who knows what the future will hold but we may well look back on this performance by a 19yo debutant and say it changed the outcome of the series.

Given we need to win the series and were seemingly headed towards a loss just a couple of hours ago I reckon it's a fair call. :P

What England don't know is that Ashton Agar is actually right handed. Can't wait for him to start batting properly. #TheAshes
