Pitch is meant to be a lot flatter than it normally is at Trent Bridge. Warm weather in England at the moment too, with a little cloud cover expected. Team winning the toss will be batting first and batting conditions should be good. Hope we bat first, and Watto can blast out a ton in the opening session!

Why would Ashton Agar play over Lyon? He better take a 10-fer and become my new favourite cricketer......

I really struggle to see why Agar has been selected though. Lyon has slightly better figures from the warm up games, and did take a 7-fer against India in his last test match. REally feel for Lyon at the moment, hasn't really done a lot wrong.

To me it looks like Agar has been selected on his batting, with the selectors wanting more in the lower order, which shows just how much faith we have in our batsmen.

Australia does not have a good recent history of picking spinners from nowhere, but Agar does have a bowling average on the right side of 30, so who knows. I hope he does well, but I have no idea why he was selected. Lyon more deserving of the spinners spot, unless he is out injured of course.
