"James Pattinson stares down Alastair Cook, and thunders in to bowl the first ball of the 2013 Ashes series. Cook waits, Pattinson bowls full outside off stump and...... and....... Cook let's it go through to the keeper.

"Watson's jogs in bowls the last ball of the day to Cook, who defends down the pitch. Well, that's the end of an interesting day here, Alastair Cook remains unbetean on 29 off 200 balls, and England are 240/4 off 90 overs.
