Must say we as number 11 batters in Agar and myself love this English bowling attack #SweetLikeSugarCane #agar #Ashes #tinobest

While the 100 would have sent the entire country into a frenzy and gotten us all a public holiday in July, the fact that a 19 year old BOWLER on debut has scored 98 test runs at a RUN A BALL. That is simply amazing in the jighest tenth wicket stand ever. When we were 9/117, I was already thinking of how hard it would be to win the series from 0-1 down, now we are back in the lead of this match.

Ashton Agar will not be batting ar number 11 again I dare say. I thought Agar had potential with the bat, just didn't know how much. This kid could become a very good allrounder for the next 20 years. Here is hoping he gets amongst the wickets now. Wouldn't really want to be Nathan Lyon at the moment.

And those first two sessions are why I love cricket. Don't anyone ever tell me that it is boring. The way the game fluctuated in only 2 hours was exhilirating. And also, I learnt how to cook pigs ears from Michael Holding. Don't worru Beefy, my email for the recipe is on the way.

its me lads

Agar you champ!  8)

Silly of me of course to not also mention the knock that Phil Hughes played down the other end. He really deserved a ton too I feel. Came im and batted well with Smith, had wickets tumble all around him, and then played a very controlled innings with Agar and really started scoring quicker after lunch.

I thought he did qute well to defend against Swann, and while he couldn't score off him, his defensive technique to the spinner was miles ahead of what it was in India. Only had that ine edge from Finn that was a genuine chance, and was lucky there was no second slip. Hopefully it is a sign that he has found a place in the middle order, and he can start to make the runs he can get.

Bill Manspeaker

very lucky there. must have got the slightest of all edges

Hopefully the wait is worthwhile a la Merv Hughes. :)

I'm not so sure. I think Trott hit it, but after Roger's howler I'll take it.

So an amazing fact from Twitter that shows how much our batting sucks. This year we've had a number 9 bat (Starc) make 99 and a number 11 make 98. Noone who's batted in the top 3 for us has made a 90 yet

I think the batting is getting a bit more stable. Watson got out to a rash shot, Cowan should be dropped, Clarke's delivery would've bowled anyone and Rogers got a bad call. Get Khwaja in and I don't mind the top order, middle order could develop well with Hughes and Smith and tail can aleays contribute.

And poor from Starc, you have to aim a hattrick ball on the stumps!
