Cotchin will bounce back. Something is definedly going on. Played all last year with a tag hanging off him and handled it with aplomb.
He will b fine, just in a form slump.
Remember every captain voted him most likely to take out the brownlow this year? The first sign of form and fitness returning I suggest people jump on and consider him as there last midfield option...

He's only had 1 decent premo average year

He just played better than his usual self and had a good/decent lucky year.

He's back to his usual self this year. There's nothing up with Cotchin, he's just being Cotchin again.

Are u serious? That's because he's only 22 years old you dope. He is a gun and will bounce back just struggling with a knee and not spending as much time on the ball

Dont be surprised if he doesnt score well again this year. I think he will be like Rockliff last year.

Not looking good points wise. Agree with above.
The last 5 weeks or so he has bled cash to the point where it is hard to trade him out...until now everyone has been thinking that he was untradeable and would turn the corner but after not being tagged and still scoring less than 100 (again) a trade to Griffen makes sense.
I don't particularly want to do this, especially having only 8 trades left and having thought my midfield was complete, but...

Anyone who doesn't have him might still think of getting him in for bargain price?

Maggie May

Just listening to ABC Grandstand and they pointed out that Boyd was tagging him as well, which would have effected his scores.

Hasn't been playing as much midfield is surely effecting his scores. Also lack of scoring goals. I think his scored 2 or 3 this season compared to like 10+ to this point last season.

Interesting thing with Cotch is that he's still racking a lot of contested ball. That indicates to me that his outside work has dropped off markedly. A product of a hard tag? Possibly, although he did handle the tags easily last year. I'd be patient with him, he's still averaging well over 100, CD loves him, the Tiges have a very nice run home and he always seems to play better in the latter half of the season.

For under 500k he's a bargain. The fact remains that Cotch still averages 108, has hit the ton 8 out of 11 times and he will play the Saints, North, GC and Freo at home over the next month.

There's no denying that his last month has been below par, but the likes of Swan, Watson, JPK and Selwood have also had their fair share of stinkers.

Thee threads still make me smile :)

Who paid that top price for him? :P

There are better options around, pass

Swan, Pendles, Ablett, Watson, Griffen - after that you could throw a blanket over the rest.

As a point of reference, Selwood's last 7 scores have been - 87, 105, 100, 83, 91, 73, 137 (against GWS).

Having lost two of our best inside players to injury in Tuck & Conca (who has now returned), you're spot on here I think. Cotchin isn't getting as much outside ball this year because we've needed him in the inside.
