Really? Sydney in the wet? Contested footy?

Wow, really? What?

PowerBug

We won, that's what. :P Only saw the last quarter, but surely Sydney were a long way from their best?

It was the big scalp that Port Adelaide needed to get, after such a good start to the season, we needed to prove that we could match it with the big guns, today has proven that, but it needs to happen 3 more times against 3 other top 8 sides.

Well Showdown 1, that Saturday in September 2004, Come from behind v North last year

But surely, this is the biggest?

Still I don't believe it! Just like Tex injury, pinch me sunday to make sure i'm not dreaming

Lets not over hype it. I was tempted to put money on Port, had a good feeling about it today, esp given the conditions.
We beat Sydney at honest football, another sign that in two years we'll be a premiership contender.

PowerBug

it wasn't THAT great tbag :P As Wes has said, don't over hype it. Great to win, but if we get rolled by 10 goals the next three it's all for nothing.

All this has done is made up for the North Melbourne or Western Bulldogs loss.

For me, next week is the test and a game I want to win.

Nothing better than beating Collingwood.

yep, good win to your team but have to back it up to be a contender.   ;)

Pies are usually the 'reality' test but this year I'm not so sure eg Pies beat Richmond and I thought there the Tigers go again, not gonna make the eight but that seems to be incorrect as the Pies are a bit 'softer' than at first glance - but a win against Collingwood should mean Power back on track or a loss will mean 'stop the train at reality station'.   ;)

I reckon it would of gone up in one of our best wins since 2004. Probably our best win.

PowerBug

The next three weeks will be the test, i can't see us winning this week tbh, Collingwood will be wary. Essendon at Etihad i have a decent feeling about though, and Hawthorn will be very tough, but that was said about Sydney aswell right? ;)

haha didn't have a doubt Port would beat Collingwood :) The team are all unless rookies who will be delisted over the next few years ;) Now I'm tipping us to beat the Dons as well. I'm still worried about Hawthorne but I believe we can do anything this season :) 3rd youngest team in the comp and the fittest team in the comp :)

PowerBug

They were missing Reid and Jolly. It hurts. But solid nonetheless. :D Surely not three in a row though...
