There's a few discussion threads on this topic, but figured I'd make a poll out of it.

If you voted for Ellis - do you think he can keep up his good scoring against quality opposition? His big scores have come against Port, the Dees and Adelaide (who Richmond pummelled)? Will teams figure out they need to put a forward tag on him and how will he cope?

I didn't vote for Ellis, but he plays on a wing most of the time so they can't really put a forward tag on him...

its me lads

Let me vote for more than one  >:(
Haha this is very tough,
To give a rough list IMO I would have
1 . Hanley
2. Duffield
3. Houli
4. Ibbotson
5. Ellis
6. Enright
7. Birchall.

All very close, only 1 number apart!  ;D
Its so close and hard to call that this week could shuffle the order.

Also consider Michael Talia  ;)

I voted for Ellis and yes i think/hope he can keep it up. Its no risk when you pick him up at $217k like i did bahahahha :shameless:
But yer i know why your struggling to get him, i feel the same way about Ibotts, i picked him up in elite, but let him pass in dt when he was still very cheap, now i struggle to bring him in and keep looking at Birchal instead.

pommyadam

i'm bringing in either Ellis/Ibbotson this week
and then the other next week (but having both Goodes and Vlastuin on my perma-bench from next round hurts me to look at)

leaning toward Ellis, mainly due for his BE (considerably less than Ibbo)

not bringing in Birchall (likely at all) or at least until he strings together 2 or 3 straight 90s

On the topic of defenders I've been happily playing only 3 premos (Goddard, Gibbs & Hanley) along with the mighty trio of rooks (Vlastuin, Goodes & Terlich).  Vlastuin will be a keeper in my mind and I thought Goodes would be my bench cover over Terlich, but does Neil Craig use Terlich differently in the upcoming weeks?  I'm going to hang onto all 3 for at least 1 more week to see who goes out of Goodes and Terlich...most likely scenario though is cashing in on a mid rook, moving Goodes to the mid bench and trading out Terlich...

Oh and I voted Enright...in a perfect DT world, but won't be bringing him in if that makes sense!

blues boy

Leaning towards Houli as he will avoid any tag.

Also even if Richmond play poorly he seems to score well anyway (lowest score of 77 in 9 weeks)

I think this week i will go Laird ----> Houli/Ibboston and then next week Terlich ---->Hanley

shhh on houli, he will be added to my team shortly  8)

I haven't voted because I can't decide between Ibbo and Ellis! Ellis actually has serious form but can someone tell me what happened to him at the start of the year? I don't pay much attention to Richmond, can he keep it up? I live in WA so Im confedent Ibbo will keep scoring as he is 60 then 120 and his job is really safe.
Tough thinking day for me as I also don't know whether to dump Goods or Martin for T Mitchell. Dumping Martin early would give me 18 playing and keep DDP. Overall means nothing to me now, after a bad start to the year.

Haha, not sure how long this best kept secret can last.

Enright is up there, just has the likelihood of a rest or being "managed" at some point.
I would stay away from the Freo players, it's a lottery as to who scores well.
Hanley is probably the next best pick. Does have the occasional stinker, but they seem rarer, and he does rack it up often.

Ellis was either green or red vested in all his early games, hence the low scores. Played two full games for around 80 odd, and then went BANG.

I'm bringing in Birch this week for Laird (cause of the low price) and then next week I'll probably bring in Duffield (high BE this week) for Terlich. I rate Duffield, pretty damn consistent. Can score outside of Perth as well unlike Ibbo it seems.

yorgis

Was going to get Ibbo but looking at his scores, he has averaged 77 from 3 away games and 122 from 4 games

at Pattersons. Obviously, likes his home deck. May just go to Birch, not playing as good as he can, but i'm sure he will come

good, and i don't reckon he'll be that cheap for a while
