Ziplock

now will have had 3 coaches in 3 years

with a highest ladder position of 12th in the last 6 years

under 3 coaches, 4 including the one who'll come in, 7 including caretaker coaches

At what point do you stop blaming the coaches?

Nails

Capper

So Melbourne are in debt, then got fined for "not" tanking and now have sacked another coach.

Where is all this money going to come from??

Exactly what I have been saying. Let a single coach stay for multiple seasons and allow the playing group to develop under that coach. All the coaches that come in try and draft mature age players for a quick fix solution so that they don't get the sack; but it really isn't in the best interest of the club. At the end of the day, if you wrap a box of poop with nicer wrapping, it is still a box of poop.

AFL handouts. The AFL is literally running Melbourne at the moment so that they don't crumble. Watch them earn a priority pick this season too, irrelevant on how many games they win.

The thing is, they flowered up the priority pick in the past, who's to say the won't do it again? Especially given the state they're in. Priority picks aren't gonna be solution. Giving a coach a few years might very well be though.

But apparently there was a downfall between Neeld and the players throughout the year. Also 5 wins from 33 games with a team averaged as the 6th youngest club in the AFL, you would surely expect more wins than 5 out of 33 with teams like Port Adelaide, North Melbourne and Gold Coast who average out as a younger squad than Melbourne who have won their fair share of games this year. Melbourne are also looking towards Roos, Knights, Williams or Eade as their next coach. But out of that squad how many players would you call decent players.

CFC 1979

yeah and what happens when the 22 produce the same shower again on the weekend
as they will

these poor soles did not like it when told some home truths by the coach.
The club does not want to loose players from the club
the solution

sack the coach

and please Jackson do not lie to us.

We did not discuss the coach at the commission hearing with the AFL.
We asked for $ 3 000 000 for the club to solve problems
Neeld's payout is $ 600 000
Do they now go back and ask for $ 600 000 more ? Sorry Andy we forgot to mention that
This stinks of Andy D and his mates pulling the strings. Part of the proposal to the AFL factored in paying out the coach
Do you think the AFL would hand over that kind of money without a bussiness plan ?

oh well looks like Fitzroy all over again
