Currently ranked 4,717.

My team:

Back: Gibbs, Goddard, Hanley, Vlastuin, Terlich, Goodes, Staker, Thurlow
Mid: Ablett,Swan, Watson, Barlow, A. Swallow, S. Selwood, Cornes, Ball, O'Meara, Mitchell
Ruck: Kreuzer, Gawn, Nicholls, Rowe
For: Franklin, Rockliff, Cox, Robinson, Martin, Cloke, Kennedy, Mcaffer

Backline is basically the last area to complete, I've been going with my gut picks each week and it has paid off, however the quality of backs bar Heppell is not great.  Who out of these should I go?

Birchall: Have teams worked him out?
Duffield: Is he going to follow Birchalls slump after brissie worked him out?
Ibbotson: Lucky streak?
Enright: My #1 choice but will be spewing if he's a late withdrawel and have made an effort not to take Cats players due to the resting.
Johnson: Back on the coke and loose in defence till finals?
Houli: Flying under the radar?

After round 13 I will prob bring in Heppell and look closer at McKenzie.

Any thoughts to help a brutha out?  :D

hmmm, have the same debate

Birchall: steal at his price point, but would like to see better scores first (a BE of 87 gives me another look at least)
Ibbotson: has the form, but it's RossLyon
Ellis: also in good touch, and a low BE (not that it really matters)
Hartlett: seems to be recovering from the tagging that he got over rd5 & 6, can you forgive him though?

Ellis could be good but not keen on a second year player at that price.

I like Duffield, apart from this week (which wasn't too bad) he's been in good form.

I've stuck with hartlett since round 1, and has delivered scores of 77,81 and 99 in the last 3 weeks. He's cheap if you're game  :P

PlotsnPlans

I'm looking at either Ibbotson or Enright. Ibbotson's having a breakout season and Enright's been playing very well too.

My current tentative move to maximise my score for the round is to trade O'Meara out and put Goodes in the mid bringing in Birchall and upgrading Ball to Boyd.  OF course I'm sure I will hit reversal about 1,000,000 times but for now it stands.  Will wait for teams and may make some downgrades first if Hrovat and other bubble rookies are named.  I could bring both Duffield and Birchall in, but it would require me to move Vlastuin and Goodes to the mid which I think is a waste cos they'll be sitting on my bench after this week.

Got the same dilemma mate!
My Backline is: Goddard, Heppel, Gibbs, Birchall, Vlastiun, Goodes (Terlich and Laird)

I am getting rid of Laird this week for sure and can afford any backmen just not sure who!

Leaning towards Enright this week and then get Hanley in for Terlich the following week......

Ibbotson i like the look of but not sure if he can sustain his incredible form and dont wanna pay top dollar on him if he cant

Is there anyone we are all missing?

Enright is 100% the guy I want, but have this horrible feeling he will be rested in the next few weeks.  The guy under the radar at the moment is Bachar Houli IMO.  In an ideal world, Hrovat will be named this week allowing me some downgrade cash.  :P

its me lads

Birchall: Not sure with Birch anymore. Seems to be worked out but should work out a way to stop being worked out  :o haha  :P . I think he can regain form but will need to produce another at least 1 good score before considering.

Duffield: Wouldnt really say teams have worked him out, just happened to be manned up on a dangerous Rockliff. Should be solid for the year.

Ibbotson: I really rate Ibbotson, picked him up in fantasy Elite before the season hoping for a breakout year, (definately thought he was capable) wasn't sure why he wasn't playing but now that he is I think he'll keep up good scores. Possibly a bit too up and down  ???

Enright: Very high risk of being rested throughout the year IMO but he is in good form again this year. Guess youve just gotta take the good with the bad.

Johnson: Wow.. No idea he had been scoring well (just looked at stats), probably just a purple patch and wouldn't go near him. Also loved the coke reference hahahha gold  ;D

Houli: Flying under the radar well and truly, not too sound up myself but i mentioned him a few weeks but nobody was having a bar of it. Definately a very viable option and think people aren't giving him the respect he deserves. Started the season with 54 and 38 but since then his lowest has been 77. Great POD. Only 2.4% ownership.

blues boy

I dont know why people think Enright is going to get rested this week coming off a bye?

Its not like they are coming off a physical game the week before either (GWS)

I think Chris Scott will play a close to full strength team this week and try to get his team to run into some form for the next games against Fremantle and Hawthorn

Nice write up mate, I'm pretty much agree with it all.  Maybe we should just let Goodes, Vlastuin and Terlich run rampant for the rest of the year, don't think these guys will be scoring too much lower than the rest.  Heppells the only one I think is a deadset get that I don't have.

WOW just checked out Houli's scores and it would be an understatement to say he has flown under the radar

Now its between Houli and Enright this week and then Hanley the week after

Only problem with Houli is the fact he hasn't produced in the past so could be just the fact Tigers are on a high?  ???

Could be but Richmond hasnt been on a high for 9 straight weeks and yet Houli's scores havent dropped below 77

Thanks mate, not sure about Terlich but Goodes and Vlastuin are certainly good options, heaps of trades this year though so might have Vlas on the bench (got rid of Goodes) for the year. And yeah Heppell is a must have.

He averaged a handy 84 in 2011 which included some good tons, off year last year but think he's back this season.

Adamant

I'm on Birchall this week, but I started with Duffield.

Would probably go Birch purely because he is at a bargain price. Duffield a close second, followed by Enright.

Wouldn't go near MJ and I don't see Ibbo maintaining his average. Houli would be a massive POD, but I really wouldn't feel safe with him in my side tbh.
