Substitute/Emergency Bye Loophole

hey guys, just wanted to know if you still get your emergency's score to replace a player who gets 0 from a bye and not because they were scheduled to play but didn't.

This is my example:
My backline is: Goddard, Heppell, Birchall, Shaw, Goodes, Vlaustin BENCH: Hartlett, Thurlow

So far everyone has played except for Shaw and Goodes, and Hartlett is playing right now who is my emergency. If Hartlett were to score 100 and i was happy with his score, believing Goodes would score less, i could sub Goodes off for Thurlow, hence getting a 0 due to Geelong's bye and then getting my emergency (Hartlett's) score of 100. So in the end Goodes may score 80, which means i get 20 points more than i would of. Does that make sense? Because the partial lockout still allows you to change your subs who haven't played.

Cheers!

roo boys!

Yeah it does, same as the captaincy loophole the bye players work perfectly for this.

Your example would work fine. Unfortunately for us Hartlett is still struggling a little at the moment  :-\

Cool! Thanks for your help. I was just curious cos i didn't want to risk gaining potentially 20ish points to lose 80ish.
I have the same situation with my rucks lol.

Minson, Nicholls (77) BENCH Maric (124), Cox (bye)

On form i decided to drop Maric to the bench (76, 83, 85, 75) lol turns out that didn't work. Anyway, if i had realised this loophole yesterday arvo before the essendon/gc game, i would have subbed Cox (bye) on for Nicholls, as i didn't think he'd get more than Maric's 124, which turned out true as he only got 77, costing me 47 points. However, i can still apply this loophole today with Minson (ave. 116), believing he won't outscore Maric's 124. Is it worth risking? In other words, will Will (lol) score more than 124 against the pies?

Cheers!
