BC2010

Had planned to upgrade this week, but his last couple of weeks have made me re-think.

Keeps producing big 100s on a regular basis, but still has the ability to throw in 70s and 80s.

Thoughts?

100% keeper. Works so hard and is a DT jet.

Adamant

Definitely a keeper. Lets say he drops off completely and averages 90 for the rest of the year, he'll still finish with an average of around 98, but that's worst case scenario.

He's inconsistent and will often throw in a 70-80, but most premo mids seem inconsistent this year anyway...

I'd lock in a 103+ average with confidence.

Most premo mids do tbh, so based on his year a keeper for sure. WCE lack a bit of midfield grunt atm, so even if he is given the tagging role i'd imagine it would be done so very sparingly.

McGinnity is fit again and should feature after the byes, and Shepperd does a bit of tagging work nowadays, so I think Selwood should be free in the midfield. I think I'm hopping on after the byes just seems to churn out tons even when not playing that well.

Bluke

I've had him since round 1, definate keeper and looking more and more like he will be a top 8 mid.

A lot of the 'conservative' choice mids haven't produced this year (Murphy, JJK, Boyd, even Watson isnt looking amazing).

Agree with your assessment, the popular, seemingly consistent premos haven't cut it whereas premos around the $420-500k have been worth the punt. Hannebury, Boak, Mundy, Barlow, Jack all come to mind, would've been great having a midfield like that plus Scooter.

ditto (also to an extent) Fyfe, has been a consistent 100 scorer without going bang - hasn't exactly flopped either

Bluke

Dont forget Richard Douglas from the Crows, he has been really good this year.

I wouldn't include Douglas on that list because he has come from nowhere! Surely no one would have picked him based on past stats! And was dirty cheap at the start I think. Having a ripping year

To be fair, Douglas did average 88 in 2010. He was also a forward that year, so was very DT relevant.

Also averaged 83 last year without sub affected games, so he always had decent scoring potential. But I never would've picked him to average 100+.

He has been a gun! All I meant was before this year he wasn't seen as one of the better picks in adelaide, Thompson, danger and sloane were all looked at first :) if he was a forward again I would be on him like white on rice!!

Bluke

I'm not suggesting that anyone should have considered him at the start of the year. But he looks a lot better than Murphy right now
