I think he's actually closer to 204 now. 18 as well, so still growing...

Nige

Just heard 'em say he was 203cm, so yeah. Gonna be a big boy.

50m kick hits Hurley on the tit

kilbluff1985

just for people saying i messed up this was originally on the SC board but it got moved here

TeeJay

Looked like a baby Giraffe that didnt know how to put one foot in front of the other to walk let alone kick a goal. His 2 attempts were a mile off and he was out bodied countless times in marking contests. If anyone truly expected him to kick a bag then they were expecting to much of him. He is going to take a long while but will be worth the wait

specky92

At ground level looked awesome for a big guy, just needs to work on using his body in a marking contest, better yet, getting a body. The goal kicking was just nerves, has been kicking beautifully in the reserves.

AFEV

It was a lot better than I expected to be honest. He was totally outplayed in the first half, but so were our other forwards. The ball movement and disposal was deplorable.

His agility is just incredible for a 203cm player, and once he settled in we did see him take some nice marks and lead to dangerous spots.

That being said I think I've seen enough, flick him back to the VFL soon I would think. Doubt he will be able to maintain any level of fitness playing lots at AFL level.

The more interesting development to come out of this game might be Carlisle/Hurley, what do you do when your #1 defender is also your best forward...

kilbluff1985

just play them where the best matchup is having those 2 so good at either end is a huge assett

My Chumps

Carlisle to go forward and Hurley back?

Funny how Hurley, who everyone Essendon fan had (and still has) such hopes for, is getting shown up at both ends by a younger player who sort of just came out of nowhere :P

kilbluff1985

Carlisle didn't really come out of nowhere has always shown potential

Wasn't a top ten draft pick. Boomz and AFEV are the only two supporters I'd ever heard talk about him until last year.
