My youngest and his mate are heading over to Melbourne for that, bit envious actually.

Yeow beauty! Hope Gallen comes back next game and gets belted!

Dont start me on this

Wally Lewis says "Queensland are all offside there"

2 mins later penalty for queensland for off side

AaronKirk

Queenslander!!

Should have won by a lot more but a win is a win.

Ringo

Enjoyed went to our usual Origin Party where we watched it on the huge screen with Pizza and ......
Think ASADA should be asked to review what was in the coconut milk NSW had at half time.  Something effected their performance in the second half.
Despite the closeness of the game was one of the most disappointing origin games I have seen for a while. Error riddled game and only the defence of both sides was the reason scores were close. Some soft penalties could be argued whether looking with Blue or Maroon eyes.
No one can blame the referees for the decisions this year although Slaters "no try" in the first half would have been talked about if Qld had lost.  And when Smith was held up over the line the whole NSW team were offside should have been on the goal line but none were.
No one can argue that the better team did win. Only decision I disagreed with was Cam Smith man of the match.  Mine would have been Cronk not for the winning field goal but his general play on the night.

I had the normal ritual. Catching up with a bunch of mates from High School at the Bowls Club.

Had a very good Chicken Parmigiana for Dinner and then consumed quite a few schooners of James Squire.

The Slater "no try" was a very poor decision, but the Queensland refs (1st time in 17 years not a NSW ref) needed to show their equality somehow.

Both teams seemed to be offside all night, but not called which was annoying.

And when did Wally become a Blue? Must be in the contract when calling SOO on Channel 9.

Wally isnt a blue, he is the most unbiased commentator there is going around

I had a bet on last night

NSW score first try
Queensland lead at HT
Queensland win the game
Cam Smith BOG

Have read the script and i dont really like it

1st game is always close

2nd game QLD will win by 10+

3rd game QLD will win by 20+ and a lot of Queenslanders will retire

Ringo

Not bad predictions Cap and I will take them - Reckon Thurston, Hodges, Scott and Parker and maybe Slater may retire after game 3.

Reckon the real turning point in the game when Hodgkinson failed to find touch and then Qld had 4 sets of 6 following it on NSW Line eventually leading to Chambers try.

i only watched 10 mins of the game as i have given up watching SOO. Daley is a showere coach and Mal is just a figure head and just tells the team to go out there and give it to NSW. Everyone knows that Michael Hagan is doing all the work on the team

Thurston has at least 3 years in him yet. The rest probably right.

cam maybe 1-2 more, DCE to come in

AaronKirk

Cam in the Courier Mail was saying he wants to re-sign with the storm at the end of his current contract in 2017 and still play rep football.
