Rate my dreamteam (solid effort)

Rucks: Sandilands, Ottens (Currie, McEvoy)

Forwards: Riewoldt, Pavlich, N Brown, B Harvey, Higgins, Yarran, Sidebottom (M Brown-WC, Gumbleton)


A few playeres made it into this side based purely on words from pre-season reports and which players are killing it on the track-eg. L Fisher, Van berlo.
Any thoughts would be great...

would probably downgrade van berlo and upgrade one of Beams Swift or Cook. What happens when (not if) none of these guys play?

And I see no Cox. one is better than none.

Good team hibbo.
L fisher killing it on the track. Does so most years.
Remember Simon Godfrey at Melbourne?
Tore up every preseason, massive engine but a spud player.
L Fisher is the same.
Give him the arse.
Beams maybe risky as a R1 prospect.
Maybe take your own advice and slot Davey into your forward line so you can fix these two options up. Only my opinion though.
Cox is a must i think. His massive numbers will dry up one day, i think he has a least 2 most years of being no 1 DT ruckman.
Otherwise your team looks great.

i just cant seem to open up enough money for Cox at the moment. i'm not too fussed about him though, would be great to have him but i have a feeling big sandi might have a big year- last year he did pretty good dropping behind the play and taking plenty of marks, so im gonna stick with him for now and see how freo play him in the nab cup...

to help out the midfield or backline i might downgrade either harvey or n brown to upgrade a midfield rookie or one of raines/L fisher, but like i said earlier players in this team are based on pre-season reports- nab cup will decide if they stay

I think Beams will play rnd 1, has ripped it up in our practise matches and if he can perform next Satday he's sure to get a spot. Only thing I don't like about it is L Fisher, but as you said you'll just have to watch the NAB closely. I don't think it hugely matters that you don't have Cox because he could easily fall in price and you could pick him up $50k cheaper, plus you already have a top captain option in Ablett.

I've done a lot of playing with my team and looking at different options...here's an updated version of what my team might look like in 2009- tell me which one u prefer, this one or the old one...

Backs: Carrazzo, S Fisher, C Cornes, Newman, Birchall, Adcock, L Fisher (S Hill, N Suban)

Mids: Swan, Stanton, Judd, Van berlo, Hasleby, Rich (Beams, Swift)

Rucks: Sandilands, McIntosh (Currie, McEvoy)

Forwards: Pavlich, B Harvey, N brown, Aaron Davey, Sidebottom, Yarran, Gumbleton (M brown -WCE, Grant)

lots of risk in forwards...is there too much? I know L Fisher is still in there but I upgraded raines because i though fisher would get more matches. Also I'm thinking of putting T Walker in the forward line but which rookie do i take out?

anyway which team do you like better?
