Ducks for Waner and Hughes not good, but must admit I like the makeup of that team. Watson and Warner opening, Watson and M Marsh sharing 5th bowler duties, Voges and Bailey as old heads in the middle order. Bat all the way to Faulkner, Johnson and Starc.

Reckon we should definately go close.

I do like the look of the one day team at the moment. Nicely balanced and all the batsmen are capable of playing different roles throughout an innings. I think we could win this.

Their final warm up game certainly didn't go to script.....

Don't mean to offend but does anyone really care about this cup? I like to think I'm a keen australian cricket follower but this championship holds zero interest for me lol, didn't even realise what it was till today. One day cricket 50 over form is clearly on the way out and part of the reason is tournaments like this, the world cup should be enough.

I am looking forward to the ashes very much though and in fact will be in the UK and will be able to watch a couple of days of the aussies warm up match but will have to come back to oz before the 1st test. Hope we can show some fight, I reckon the english decks suit us better especially our bowlers who like to hit the deck hard that was not rewarded in India. I fear the frailty of our batsmen against the swining ball though.

Cicjose

the ashes are overrated and too much emphasis is placed on australia winning them

if Australia only wants to show up for one test series every 2 years be my guest

Bad start, Falkner went ok :o Bailey is good

Time will tell, Windies good win though!

I think this is the last Champions Trophy ever as a Test Championship is being planned for 2017. I'm not paying much attenttion to it, not very important.

Yeah, I barely even knew this was on. As henry said, I think it's pretty clear that ODI cricket is well and truly on the way out.

I hope not, we all know T20 isn't really cricket

Same here. I still love the ODI format, and I really hope it doesn't die off.

Windigo

Warner has been stood down after getting sloshed in Birmingham.

Can't say I'm dissapointed. :-X

Not actually sloshed Windi but a physical altercation.

When will these guys learn.

BB67th

Hmmmm well he might be sent home for the entire tour at this rate. It's a shame because I think he's the only real batsman we have behind Clarke at the moment. Still, who comes in for him tonight then? I think Wade will probably open again and Maxwell comes in for Warner? With Clarke out we have no reserve batsmen at all :/
