I am developing a huge man crush on Michael Hibberd lol. When we had all the backline carnage with gibbs, heppell and others out I decided to get in a POD instead of the more popular options in Birch and Burgoyne. It's worked a treat, and since then he has delivered scores of 105, 92, 83, 113 and 99. Making it better is my opponents have seldom had him, with his ownership being under 10%. With the exception of round 1, his lowest score has been 83 and he has averaged over 97 and in that time has been the most consistent back apart from goddard and maybe gibbs. Get around him!

I know some people started with him and I tip my hats to them  :D

its me lads

I don't have him. Wold be a good option. I'm just waiting for him to twang his hammy and be out for 2 months

LF

Yeah started with him in SC and has been so consistent there as well.
Grabbed him for Gibbs in DT as I didn't like the other options and it also freed up some cash.
Has been fantastic as you said a great POD(except this week) I can't get enough of him.
My son has a bit of a man crush on him as well lol

Yep got him instead of Scotland for Gibbs, very stoked..

I was considering bringing him in for Gibbs, but didn't think having 3 Ess defenders was a good idea (Have Goddard and Heppell) also abut nervous due to his past injuries.

Been a shocking year for Defs. Hibberd very likely to finish as a top 6 def if he stays injury free.

+1. I also remember there being a lot of love for Baugley pre-season, and he's been a flop. But Hibbo looked more worth the risk, consistent player when he strings games together.

Yep me too :(

Even now both him and Heppell look to be the guy's to bring in (I'm sure Richmond would be hoping their own rookie defender duo from last year in Ellis and Morris would have developed like these two, although perhaps Ellis has now shown he can perhaps follow in their footsteps), but unfortunately with so many round 13 players in the mid's, I'm looking at 3 doughnuts in the mid's alone, so since I've already got Goddard and Scotland, I'm not sure I can take the risk... might be worth it even so though, so I'll have to see how the following week pans out...

Surely a sneaky all australian chance?

Alka

Probably my best pick in my short 3-year DT career. Started the year with him and haven't looked back.

Love watching him play too, he's consistent over 4 quarters, takes plenty of marks and seems to always kick instead of handball. He's made for DT!

Looking like he'll stay in the top 6 defenders, so if you don't have him it's definitely not a case of being too late.

me

absolute jet this year clearly

after grimes went down screaming - i had the choice of scotland or hibberd and went scotland fml

i really thought this guy would get tagged considering the huge amount of rebound he generates - really hurts teams, yet zero attention to date, and his body is also holding up which is also a miracle of sorts - sadly, if i get him in now, be sure his productivity will nosedive

At the start of the year I was tossing up between him and Baguley. Made the wrong choice...  :'(

Yeah I think it's only a matter of time until someone puts some work into him, I hope he continues to fly under the radar though.

If he continues this form would have to be a chance and right in the mix.

Henry!!!

As soon as I saw this thread I thought "Uh oh, the DT Gods aren't going to like this". And sure enough. :'(
