You want to have 4 trades up your sleeve for rnds 19-22.
If you trade Goose now takes you back to 6, thus 2 for rnds 13-18!!

Play Webberley, hold Goose.

If you had more trades, I would say bring in Gysberts and trade Goose for Gilbert, but I don't think you are in a position to do that with only 7 trades left.

bundyboy

play webberley if you can..

goose to grimes is not sideways IMO.  Grimes has shown consistently better scores and much more high scoring potential too.  Cheap upgrade IMO if you need to trade.

I consider it an upgrade too, Grimes rnd 1 was ~390k and Goose ~100k so solid increase IMO.

Will prob hold off, hopefully he will be back from injury in 2 weeks, not 4. Split round will hopefully help this...

bundyboy

yep - I've got the goose too - so i'm hoping the split round will help, as I don't want to use a very costly trade with so much of the season to go...

I do have cover for Maguire in Nason or Farmer but i am playing the undefeated top team and i am sitting 3rd only losing one game. I have $62,800 in the bank. I am leaning towards newman or bock. I am seriously liking bock because he always dominates buddy.

LF

i have harbrow he is ok doesn`t score huge but is pretty consistant can pull the odd ton.

If you think you can beat him with the trade then go for it but if not save the trade

Middo

should i maybe downgrade nason to someone like campbell heath and then upgrade maguire to anyone? i also have mitch farmer on the pine

Jim Bean

Ok, so Maguire is listed as 'TBC' on the injury list. I don't want to trade Maguire, but does anyone know the approximate time frame of his injury?

Becuase I don't want maguire sitting on my bench for the rest of the season...

(less than 3 weeks I consider good, more than 4 weeks = trade).

So, trade or no trade?

LF

brisbane lions website says 2-4 weeks.

wooly

(How many trades do you have?)

Think long term: is it worth getting a win now or saving your trades for finals and killing it then? If you are sitting third (and depending on how the teams below you are placed) I'd hold off on your trades and save them for finals (unless you have 10+).

As Blueboys said if you think you can beat him by making the trade then go for it, but if not save the trade (I feel dirty after agreeing with a blues supporter :P ). If you do trade I'd downgrade Nason and upgrade Maguire to a true premium (Goddard, Hodge, Gilbert, Duffield, Carrazzo, etc).

yeahsup

So I have 12 trades left and 60 thousand dollars.
Maguire out means i'm copping a zero in the backline, unless I trade. A straight wouldn't get me much more than an 80-averaging player, so I'm thinking double.
What are the thoughts on Bastinac -> Gysberts, then Scotland for Maguire?
My current backline is God, Hodge, Gilbert, Mackie, Newman, Maguire, Hunt.

Who are your other reserves?
